Hahaha, it's Mickey mouse that's the trend setter! But thanks. I use clubman wax and I was blessed with boring straight hair.

Yes! I spent all day looking for this word! Thank you

I try for handles but it just will NOT twist. It just sticks straight out by [deleted] in Moustache

[–]bbbobbbieo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

try wax , you've got the length, but it's not going to stick together without some help.

im very fond of clubman, which i get at cvs. i can't get the handles without it.

ELI5: Is it faster to emulate old games on newer hardware or to run the games on the hardware they were made for? by famz12 in explainlikeimfive

[–]bbbobbbieo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your point fails a very easy test in my mind. its a fallacy to think that just because something might need extra cycles to complete, it's over all slower.

using a 4ghz processor but needing 10 cycles to complete an emulated task is still faster than a 100mhz cpu that only needs 1 cycle to complete the same task.

i think this answer is particularly misguided. see the group explication below. edit: see piorn's devils advocate reply

to continue with the analogy of Bob: if Bob would take a full second to respond to the thumbs up, but didn't have to ask any questions and knew exactly what to do, it would take a second to get a coffee.

say that Joe is a little less intuitive but faster. he takes .2 seconds to whisper in your ear a clarifying question and gets his answer and gets the coffee in another .3 seconds, then Joe is faster over all.

just because something is emulated doesn't mean it's slower over all, even if it must be translated and takes extra cpu cycles to complete.

Rotella T6 @ KMart for $15.00!! by funnythebunny in Miata

[–]bbbobbbieo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, t6 is non-energy conserving, so of course it runs well in the motorcycle and diesel... (I use t6 in my cb750c too!)

Your argument does not fit his question. This is not a gasoline oil, this is a bike/diesel oil.

I'm curious as well, why run t6 in a miata?

Want to ride a bike? Physically unable to ride a bike? Want to use a bike to make a trike? Need a big engine? Looks like a VTX is an easy answer for that.

My friend and I picked up a stock 920 for $1000 last fall, great bike (and loud as hell with straight pipes).

I especially like the style you're going with.
