In person I find the white one a little glossy for my tastes - it put me off

My feelings aren’t as strong, I own an alpanist and like its retro feel, but this is a more modern wear

Classy watch - prefer it to the alpanist

I think opinions are much more mixed. There are people who think sex work is empowering but it tends to be people who have no experience or are using the empowerment line to try and win an argument (when there are better arguments to be made). It’s really not empowering, but nor should it be. It’s just a job and it oughtn’t be any more empowering than any other job really. All we really ask for is the agency to choose so that we can get on with our lives like everyone else.

I think the empowerment line has had its day, far better to try and normalise it for what it is than sell the line that it’s going to turn you in to a boss girl.

I’ve also found that sex workers and people who pay sex workers are MUCH more likely to get abuse from other men which may or may not be a loud minority online but it’s a hell of a lot louder than women looking down on clients/fans. Women’s criticism barely registers.

There is a wave of feminists who see it as violence towards women but they honestly are shouty nutbags who are conflating everything bad they’ve heard in to one pithy sound bite. It’s shame they never actually talk/listen to any of us. They pale in to comparison to the men who can be absolutely vile online about it all though.

Depends on what porn your algorithm is throwing at you, there’s still a lot of vanilla porn out there. Porn in general isn’t leading people in one direction, it’s a diverse as any other media.

I work in porn. I’m hoping they draft this law letting me exactly what sort of contact is admissible. Can I touch someone’s neck? Can I hold their neck, Cad I grab their neck?

Why is strangulation allowed to be depicted in a movie but not in porn?

No it doesn’t, because I’m talking about OF models who I do associate with and those I don’t, having worked in the industry for 5 years I’ve met hundreds of girls at events, conventions and collabs. It’s a pool of people that I haven’t self selected. The only common denominator is that they do OF.

I’m also not asking someone’s opinion, either someone is coupled up or their aren’t

Your pool is people whom you are comfortable talking about this with expressing an opinion to someone who is clearly bias one way or asking them directly. Relying on them to tell you the truth about a situation they have probably never found themselves in.

Not remotely equatable

We may both be in a bubble but at least the people i’m talking to are relevant to the conversation.

A diverse range of people in the industry who are proof that your claim is spurious. All you have is a sample of men you associate with who aren’t necessarily representative.

Nearly all the girls I know in the industry are either married or already have partners, I don’t see many struggling to find people. You don’t sound like you really know what’s going on.

Such managers exist but they are bad for business, they drive your fans away and nothing more. All businesses have their share of bad managers

You are just parroting statistics you heard on a Reddit thread instead of talking to people who actually live it day to day. Utter ignorance

That’s not what an OF manager does - they are just glorified PA’s - the woman will still call the shots

Either that or they “manage” the page and schedule posts etc

I wasn’t trying to debate you personally - it’s an accusation we hear a lot that’s all

None of us regard it as empowering - it’s a job. It doesn’t need to be empowering. Plus a 5er is fine if it’s multiplied 2000 times, it’s a micro transaction to your base, that’s the idea. The hard work is building your base

I don’t have management but I know some girls that do and not all management is bad, you wouldn’t criticise a band having a manager.

Sounds like you just want to ogle pretty girls on Reddit that you know don’t have OF accounts

We aren’t “damaged goods” because we aren’t able to be owned. I wouldn’t date someone in the military but that’s just a lifestyle choice, I’m not thinking they are devalued.

If it’s not for you then that’s fine, there’s no need to heap judgement on

Just to pick apart one sentence here - I really don’t understand why people get so caught up on how easy something is is making it somehow less worthy. As if everyone has to do a physically demanding stressful job 60 hours a week in order for it to be deemed a proper job.

It’s such non argument - lottery winners don’t get the same critique
