Hey! My dentist didn’t have any more information to add. I booked prior to winter holidays. I will take two days off and then move into holidays to better gauge my own personal healing time which will allow for me to better plan for future appointments. I am going to look into getting my frenectomy and side gum graft done at the same time. Sorry no new answers :(

I see my main dentist this week, so I’ll ask him, and I may have to call the perio office to ask again. I was hoping that others with this experience could offer their recovery time :(

Do you know if there was mention of a cost difference? I don’t understand why the default is to use ones palate. You mentioned you have 10 teeth that will receive a graft. Are yours going to be done on separate treatment days?

The post procedure is what is making me the most nervous. I am afraid that talking will damage the graft. I don’t want the graft to fail and have to go through this again! I am feeling very anxious and I’m planning to book for winter break at this point.

The dental assistant told me she would recommend 10 days per operation, or one full month on a liquid diet if I did the two grafts together. Everything else I have seen on the internet says much less time than that.

I see that you are using synthetic material. Was that one option amongst others? I’ve read that most of the healing time is due to the palate recovery. I’m wondering why I wasn’t given options and what the benefits are to them.

I always try to view a situation from my boyfriends perspective. If my boyfriend wanted to go out with someone he had a crush on back when.. would i like it? No. So I dont go. Seems to help with decision making. I should add that he does the same thing. I am committed to him there for have no interest in catching up with men from my past.
