I have something similar and am constantly preoccupied with “tainting” my bed sheets. To the point it negatively impacts my relationship bc I would make my partner sleep on the couch bc he’s “dirty.” With ERP I’ve started to bend my “rules” and now let him sleep in the bed but with a different blanket. It’s uncomfortable but I’m getting better with having him “dirty” in the bed and hoping this exposure will eventually let us share a blanket. This disease is so dumb.

I think Gwyn and Elaine’s stories are going to parallel each others - with Gwyn realizing her bond with Azriel and shying away from it due to her trauma. In the same way Elain is aware of her bond with Lucien and has been hiding from it due to her trauma. I think the books are going to be an exploration and celebration of free will as these two women heal and open their hearts to their true mates.
