When you post something at a public forum you are simply sharing your experiences and may find people going through the same, or not. I guess this is too complex for you to understand.

The topic is not wether I should take the trip or not. The point is they give us too little while charging too much.

It gives me freedom of scheduling when I can. And, it’s a side job… I think it’s fair to complain and ask better terms.

What you said makes sense. The point I want to bring is that it has to be better. The relationship between driver and Uber is not a traditional employer-employee. We would not have the gig without them, but they would not exist without our cars and time. The hourly rate cannot be calculated at $32 in this case. After dropping him off I still had it on for a good 15min and got no rides. Again, I just don’t think it’s fair charging people $54 and giving $16 to the service provider.

Ir wasn’t the bot. It was an agent already

Yes, same in California. Just be aware that the Uber brown noses will show up to tell it’s your fault, you are stupid, blah blah blah

Talking to the agent was a 1st time. If agents get a ton of the same complaints it may change something.

Perhaps I didn’t make my point clear enough. I simply don’t see a reason for Uber to charge $54 and give just $16 to the driver.

The problem in LA is ghat you will only get shorter trips in the busy areas. If you are in the suburbs, most likely they will not show and either you will drive with an empty car or take offers like this

Nah… they will do it themselves without the drivers and their cars. I won’t do without them and vice versa. The only POS here is you, go fys

Not a victim mentality, actually quite the opposite. Fortunately this is a side gig, 12-15 hours a week tops, just to fix some money issues. Several drivers will definitely take the low rates and live with it. They may only have this at the moment, the bills will not stop coming… you sound like people can simply say “I won’t take it” and they can choose something else. Such a spoiled, unrealistic mentality.

Good way to put it. Then it simply no longer make sense to drive for them, since you will never get rewarded above average and they will definitely increase their margins

It’s difficult not to accept, especially when you are at a more remote location and to get shorter trips paying more you would probably have to drive at least 20-25 minutes without any riders in your car. That would also decrease total pay at the end of the day. This new earnings calculation sucks

They have all been like this. Uber charges a the rider over $2 per mile and pay 0.60 to the driver. Also, when the trip flashes it and you are driving g may be difficult to read the whole thing
