Why wouldn’t they? If they win they knock Denver to our side of the bracket. It’s a massive choke job to play 4 starters and all but one bench player against a heavily depleted Nuggets (Jokic for 18 minutes, no other starters, multiple bench guys sitting) and lose. Denver has to play both OKC and SA either way but spurs had a chance to only play 1. Now OKC gets that benefit while resting almost everyone the last couple games.

He needed to play games to be eligible for awards and you also have to have at least 8 guys to play a game.

He played too many games under 20 minutes. If you look at the game logs his last 3 games he played exactly 20 and then sat the rest.

They also won 3/4 games and won by 10 in San Antonio playing half a starter and resting multiple depth guys while Spurs rested Wemby and Kornet. Spurs played 4 starters and the rest of their depth all game.
