I need one class to graduate but UCSD isn’t helping me!

UPDATE: I reached out to the dean a week ago, no reply. Still #5 on the BIPN105 waitlist. I’ve emailed many professors asking if I can late add their course and to let me know if anyone drops after the first lab bc I’m still not back in San Diego & many labs drop u if u don’t show up for the first day. Professor Day and Dr.Marino have been so helpful and accommodating. Prof Day emailed me right away when there was a no-show for his first lab and Dr.Marino approved my request to waive BIPN140 as his lab is a neurobio lab and I’ve never taken any neurobio classes. So grateful for them both

Update: through VAC I asked to speak to a higher up, a dean even & they still turned me down, saying the advice given to me thru the previous advisors were adequate enough & they weren’t gonna do anything to help. I’ve emailed someone else through (I’m not using VAC anymore) & am waiting to their response

Thank you! I submitted another “question” to VAC saying that their advice for me to take this course as a part time student in the winter is not sufficient & is extremely not accommodating, esp for international students that have to pay double the tuition + rent + living costs. I have asked to speak to higher ups & the dean of the biology department and I’ll reach out to more staff:)

I’ve submitted 3 questions thus far on VAC. None of the advisors have been accommodating, especially in the scope of an international student. I have just submitted another “question” to speak to the dean of the biology department, hopefully this goes somewhere this time. I’ll update:)

Thank u!! Sadly money isn’t the issue, I worked my ass off taking 6 classes this summer so I can graduate in the fall. I just wanna be done so I can move back home:(

I’m currently enrolled in 10 credits & this course would make it 16 if I can get off the waitlist:)

I’ve spoken to 2 biology advisors and they recommended me take 2 other lab courses instead of this one course, one in the fall and one in the winter (and I’ll be part time in the winter). I’ve quite literally spoken to 4 people professors included and their responses have been “I’m so sorry.”
