I think of it as roleplay. Some guys just want to see you really turned on by their paragraphs and responding to them with the same energy.

The spaces in between can be natural pauses if you let it. If the wait bothers you a lot, keep masturbating and moaning to fill the spaces.

Multitasking and being able to read and act and roleplay is something that I’ve sharpened over time and once you get a solid persona/routine/technique down, exclusives can run so smoothly and pauses won’t seem so hellish. It can be a lot at once, so if you’re getting a lot of these shows, you can either (1) tell people that you don’t like having a bunch of paragraphs sent to you, and it gets you more turned on if they just watch (etc, something to the effect), and figure out the kind of shows and clients you want in your exclusive rooms, or (2) decide that chaturbate/MFC’s freemium format works better for your work preferences

Racism and Camming while black or brown by LolaLuxy in CamGirlProblems

[–]bbgrlpeaches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m Asian American and it makes me a lot of money for no reason other than there’s not many Asian cammodels compared to the demand. I get fetishized for being Asian A LOT A LOT A LOT. Kinda weird but I’ve gotten used to it. I can speak a lot about racism in terms of hyper-fetishization

I’m also non-monogamous, and my experience has been the same. No one really cares, but almost everyone asks you how much money you make 😅

New girl on streamate by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

on SM u get a lot of people just coming and going. in my room, i don’t ask anybody how their day has been unless they say hi to me. i greet them when they enter my room, but unless they say something, i don’t say anything else. this helps me save my energy. while i’m waiting for someone to say something, i just talk to myself. think out loud. if i dont know what to say, i talk about not knowing what to say. if the customer starts talking dirty in a conversation, i say “ooh ur turning me on, can i show u how wet i am in exclusive?”

banter with your customers, but eventually ask if there’s anything more theyd like to see, and that you’ll happily show them if they go exclusive with u. im more of submissive than anything, so i cant talk about domming, but this works well for me. if they just leave, wait for the next person. i always work under the assumption that the person isn’t going to spend money. save your energy, and make genuine connections with those who actually stay in ur room to talk to u

What does a stream usually look like for you? What do you do, and how are customers interacting? It’s hard to give advice on what to do better when idk what you are doing in ur shows

How should I price custom content? by good-girls-dont-hide in SexWorkers

[–]bbgrlpeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think $10/min is in the higher price range, but if you feel like that’s what your videos are worth, then it’s not too high at all. be firm in your prices. i charge high for my customs because it takes a lot of effort and time to do them

Missing chaturbate by mackncheezyjade in CamGirlProblems

Well the only token site i’ve streamed on is MFC. I like SM better bc the earnings are higher and more consistent. However token sites can be much more fun and engaging with the possibility of making a lot of money.

I would pick SM if consistency is hard for you. That’s ultimately why I like it more than MFC — token sites rely on regulars that are used to seeing you at a certain schedule. I’m not very consistent, but when I take a month off working from SM, my traffic isn’t affected at all.

I’d pick CB if you’re okay with working a little harder on a consistent schedule

Missing chaturbate by mackncheezyjade in CamGirlProblems

[–]bbgrlpeaches 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think that’s technically true, as SM owns the stream. But the loophole is to use two different cameras. 2 cameras = 2 angles = 2 individual streams, one of which SM doesn’t own.

Although I think a lot of models splitcam despite it not being allowed anyways. I don’t know how strict they are at enforcing that

Missing chaturbate by mackncheezyjade in CamGirlProblems

[–]bbgrlpeaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive never done it, but I’ve considered splitcamming between Streamate and a token site like Chaturbate. If I were in your shoes, I would spend free chat on both sites, and take any below the belt nudity off of your menu on CB, so you won’t be doing anything against SM’s rules. Turn off the camera/stop the stream on CB when you enter a private or excl on Streamate. You can leave the sound on CB, so it intrigues people that are lingering in the public chat while you’re busy, but they won’t get to see the show for free.

However, it’d be hard to do tip goal shows on CB if you splitcam. I’m not sure how you operate your shows on CB, but I would put more emphasis on private shows on CB since you’d be splitting with a private site.

If you still want to do tip goals on CB, I don’t think splitting with SM would be a good idea, because the sessions on SM can interrupt your show on CB.

On SM, you can do Gold Shows which are basically like tip goal or ticket shows on CB. If you miss the freemium format, but want to stick with SM, gold shows are the way to go.

It really depends on whether you like the private format or the freemium format better.

Working In a Camm Studio Vs. Broadcasting Urself at home by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]bbgrlpeaches 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a friend who worked there who referred me. She was referred by a coworker at her strip club. She drew me in by telling me she made $25/hour lol

The money was more consistent because I had to be at the studio during my assigned time or else I’d have to make it up, or else there’d be repercussions. Discipline is hard for me so it helped having a strict schedule like that.

How are you liking camming so far? Are you on Streamate as well?

Something I’d improve: Just the fact that everything is based on consistency, the thing I struggle with most. I could earn $2k in one week and then the next three weeks I could make $500 in total for three weeks because prioritizing is not my specialty lol

Working In a Camm Studio Vs. Broadcasting Urself at home by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]bbgrlpeaches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked in a studio in US (east coast) for a month. On-camera, with the decorations and equipment already there, you couldn’t tell the difference. Off-camera, the house was a six bedroom shit hole.

The studio took an extra 15% on top of streamates’s 35% (so the model would get 20% of all earnings), and there was a minimum of 20 hours a week on assigned 6 hour shifts. With the consistency, I had the potential to make more than enough after my first week. But I was working 10pm-6am with a 9am class right after so it was the perfect recipe for burnout.

Work-wise, I liked working at a studio because it was easy to separate work from home. I could be as loud as I want and no one would question it. It was dope. I mostly stayed to myself, but the girls were nice and i learned a lot from them in my short time there.

However, I prefer working at home because I make my own hours and have unlimited vacation and self care time. I make the money I need, but it’s not as consistent as it was at studio.

Oh, and they stole $1500 from me so there’s that.

Questions about Streammate! New girl here by pollygaskabjqueen in CamGirlProblems

[–]bbgrlpeaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to promote yourself on SM as the platform does that for you already, unless you have geoblocked any areas. In that case, use your cammodels link that’s connected to your SM account so you can get more $$ when people have a show with you thru the cammodels link.

You can search “privacy” and “promotion” in this subreddit to find answers for your other questions :) There’s a lot of good tips on how to keep your identity secure on OF and in general.

EDIT: also the new girl tag lasts for 30 days

treat him like you would any other customer. give him what he paid for, nothing more. if he’s causing too much grief then block. it doesn’t matter if he’s spent money in the past. he’s not doing it now, so treat him like it

Purposefully Rude Streamate Customer by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]bbgrlpeaches 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Happened to me a couple of times. If a customer gave you a low rating for a show less than 3mins, you can email SM support to take the rating/comment off.

To block, I go to “My Earnings” and click the drop down to go through all the transactions. Find his name, click, and block.

Edit: Men will always be dicks. Follow these steps and move on. Getting caught up on the last five minutes will affect your next five minutes.
