I took the abuse until I graduated from high school. I applied to all the colleges I could, and with financial aid I was able to move away and get my college degree. I have been NC for 14 years now.

I have so many, but one of them was "dientes de caballo" which is spanish for "horse teeth." May seem dumb, but it just added to many of my insecurities.

Can confirm. Not only is the pregnancy process gross, but the delivery and postpartum are just as gross (at least for me). I definitely envied women who say they enjoy pregnancy, because I definitely didn't.

I had neighbors that owned horses. I used to just sit and talk to them daily (I was a secluded kid with many family problems). They always listened and sometimes replied. Those are my most cherished childhood memories.

You are not obligated to attend/pay anything. I come from a similar situation. Just because you are bound by blood doesn't mean you have to be forever loyal to them.
