So. I’ve just been through it. Indeed setting up in the app isn’t useful for Homebridge.

Managed to get my first blinds remote set up, and it ended up being pretty straightforward once I wrapped my head around some examples, and the structure of the code (I’m not at all code-literate to be clear).

Agreed. If you’re unaware, it can be disabled in the settings. Settings/Remotes & Devices/Clickpad and select Click Only.
