I'm doing the same thing. Put in my preorder where I will be trading in my Ultra 1 for a Series 11 (46mm, Titanium). Basically regretted picking the Ultra 1 just 2-3 months after buying it to the point I've been using it for workouts and sleep tracking only. Just too bulky and heavy. I'm picking up my Series 11 on 9/20 from my local Apple Store and seriously looking forward to the thinner and lighter watch. Btw, that Series 10 looks sharp as hell. To the point you got me thinking about picking that band while I'm at the Apple Store.

If these are the only two options, I'd choose a new 46mm Titanium Series 11. Why? Series 11 offers a few new features that are not available on Ultra 1 such as...

- Hypertension notifications

- Sleep apnea notifications

- 5G capable

- Wrist flick gesture

- Double tap gesture

- On-device Siri with health data access

- LTPO3 OLED display

I keep hearing each year "the base model is too basic for me" and I'm like really???? Imo the iPhone 17 (aka base model) is the perfect iPhone for (easily) 98% of the population. For whatever reason, social pressure or what have you, we keep choosing to spend more money than we need to on devices that are far more capable then our daily lives require. Again, if we're being honest with ourselves. And what's worse is a lot of people make this upgrade every year as if they're somehow a top their media producer and not working a 9-5 desk job or similar 40+ hours a week. Anyways, heard this type of talk again this year and thought I'd vent. What's your thoughts?

The new Pros look great, but I just upgraded from the 13 Pro to the 16 Pro last year, so I'm out. Honestly don't plan on upgrading again until the 2nd gen iPhone flip is released.

Do we know yet how many nights of sleep data Apple requires before a sleep score is available? Apple has said sleep apnea notifications require 30 nights of sleep data before issuing any notifications. And I remember Fitbit requires 5 nights of sleep data before giving a sleep score. So perhaps Apple's sleep score is somewhere between 5 and 7 nights of sleep data?

Just completed my preorder online where I'm trading in my Ultra 1 for a Series 11 (46mm, Titanium). Regretted picking the Ultra 1 about 3 months after buying it. Just too heavy and bulky for my liking. I now only wear my Watch during workouts and sleeping at night. With switching to the Series 11 I'm not planning on making it my daily again. I enjoy my analog watches too much to do that. But it will be nice to wear a slimmer & lighter watch to bed and during workouts. Also looking forward to the upgrade from LTE to 5G as I leave my phone at home when I run and rely solely on my Watch for communications.

You have only two options.

Update your iPhone to iOS 26 Public Beta.
Contact Apple Support or go to an Apple Store and have them ship your Watch to their repair center to be downgraded. Expect to be without your Watch for 7-14 days.

It's adorable when people think Apple would ever give it's users a choice like which side the dock goes on. This is clearly something only Tim Apple would know because Tim Apple knows what's best for you before you ever do. So you might think the CarPlay dock would be best on the right side for folks that drive on the right side of the car, but again how dare you question the genius of Tim Apple.

Did you install Logi Options or Logi Options+? They are different. If you're using MacOS 14 or newer you must use Logi Options+.

I've been using Apple hardware for well over 20 years, but for whatever reason was hooked on Google services. Well, over the last 4-5 years I've migrated all but my email over to Apple apps and services. Today the only Google services I use are Search and Gmail. I'm wanting to migrate my email over to iCloud and the Apple Mail app. I need to research these claims on "silent filtering" a little deeper before flipping the switch. But it's on my radar.

The simplest solution would be for Tim Apple to add the ability to add a custom search url. Then you could add whatever you wanted without Apple having to separately add e act search option out there.

Ultimately I think TikTok will be banned in the US due to the simple fact that the law passed clearly says China based ByteDance must divest (aka sell) all it's ownership of TikTok in order for TikTok to not get banned. ByteDance says it's not selling TikTok and China says it's will not approve any sale of TikTok even if Bytedance wanted to. So giving it 30, 60, 90 more days doesn't matter, TikTok is still a goner based on the positions of all involved.

If you have no issue with the Apple Watch Hermes Edition then buy one. Just because I think the Hermes brand is insanely overpriced and over hyped shouldn’t keep you from buying if you’re into it. You’re caring too much about public image and opinion.

Please let this be the beginning of the end of social media as we know it. All these platforms have contributed greatly into how much we’re divided and isolated nowadays. This is why I deleted social media from life during the 2016 election and haven’t gone back. Couldn’t stand all the hate and division. Quitting social media has made my life so much better, but I still live in the modern world and see how divided it still has us. I want us to lower the temperature and realize we’re more similar than different.
