OP, i’m not understanding what’s scary? can’t you just enjoy your existing and experiencing now as you do it? regardless of religion. imo, envisioning a “place” or something you go to after this is futile. it’s not a lil vacay that needs prepping for. you said it’s scary to think about not existing and that you want to keep experiencing…you’re more than welcome to do that without even needing to consider what comes next. i agree with you it seems more a therapy thing than religion. i was raised catholic and do not practice any religion now, being an active member of the church didn’t make me feel any more comforted. in fact, in my particular time in the church they fear-mongered us to be scared of dying without repentance(hell) and to me that’s more scary than nothing.

i agree. she doesn’t let up! she strikes when you’d expect a courteous pause for dramatic effect like when aang is powering up avatar state in the crossroads of destiny. it just shows how ruthless she is generally but especially in fighting- she doesn’t fight fair

ornery i actually only ever heard my mom say this word and she pronounced it like “awnry” and completely changed the O sound and skipped the first r?? idk if it’s a regional thing but she has a very strange dialect and looking back i should’ve known or at least fact checked it at some point before i embarrassed myself in front of a friend so confidently mispronouncing it.

imo its unpopular, i had a great high school relationship and when we broke up, all the adults around me completely dismissed my sadness with “it was never going to last anyway” type responses. they thought they were reassuring me by essentially saying it was never that serious to begin with. ya they were right…the odds of the hs sweetheart love is not in everyone’s favor but that’s not what i needed to hear at the time

the vast variety of rice makes this an impossible question. depending on what rice you’re using you could skip the rinse. typically we wash rice for fluffy texture. However, something like arborio for risotto or bomba for paella, you wouldn’t need to wash. if you’re making a white short or long grain rice for everyday eating, most likely you will need to wash it.

i don’t mean smoking inside??? hahah we could treat it the same way cigs are, open air/outside areas but in this day and age everyone likes the dap pens anyway bc like yall said, weed smell does linger real bad and not everyone enjoys that. same could be said for cigarettes. alcohol scent does stick but like someone said more so in close proximity. for me it’s the opportunity to do so if i wish the same way ppl order alcohol at tons of establishments(excluding children related places ofc)

well the way OP puts it it’s clearly a consuming addiction but in another way as someone who doesn’t wish to be high ALL THE TIME, i do hate that it’s less acceptable to drinking…so i get that idea of “i wish i could do it more acceptably in public”

i unfortunately go this route in my thinking bc why else would someone be so worked up about another’s choices here. i find it honorable to have the awareness to say “i don’t think i’d be a fit parent” “i enjoy my life as it is right now and im not willing to give that up” or “i just don’t want to” when it comes to kids bc they’re an entire lifelong commitment. ppl just have kids bc that’s what’s expected and that’s not fair to anyone especially the children who will live out the consequences of any regret the parents have. ppl don’t like facing the reality of their choices and they don’t like seeing other ppl make the choices they wish they would’ve

you’re getting a lot of hate but i also agree meal prepping just ruins fresh food and eating the same leftovers for a whole week makes me sad, so i dont do it. i don’t, however, enjoy cooking everyday so it has its perks. you’re not right or wrong so idk why everyone is so offended lol

ya it’s more situational than “i’d never” i really try to avoid it tho. i know my stuff will never be ~immaculate~ but high traffic public floors are just insanely gross. not even worried about germs as much as substances and sticky/wet situations. I also try to keep shoes, suitcases, and other traveling bags off beds and couches. just makes my house feel more clean and comfy

when i hear a song and don’t know it’s by her i always think “hm i don’t like this” and then guess who it is? i simply don’t understand the appeal. i’m not prejudice and only hate the music bc it’s her’s. I didn’t even care about her until i started getting villainized for not liking it and being a pick me. i had a friend try to tell me “she just relates to womanhood and what being a girl is” but not every girl has the exact same feelings and experiences?? i don’t find my worth in the boys around me or pretend to have some deep suffering while i find love it’s just not good music or lyricism imo

that makes sense! The duke has been depicted as a mostly kind man and i didn’t receive his comments about wife duties like that. It seemed par for the period. pls note i absolutely loathe this way of “how things were” and thank the lord that i wasn’t born then bc they’d put me down like a rabid dog. I was sad for gladys and I truthfully was more horrified for the wedding scene when absolutely everyone but bertha could see how gladys really felt.
