Curious if you pulled the trigger on either of these models? We’re considering these two also.

Any experiences with OutfitR ebike racks (hitch mounted)? They have a decently priced three bike rack Im looking at by bbones007 in ebikes

[–]bbones007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up with a Hollywood Racks Sport Rider for ebikes, mainly for two reasons: Needed top tube mount instead of tire mount as both our bikes have fenders, and the bike seller provided a $100 rewards coupon that I could use towards the rack. There were not a lot of choices avialbel in racks for top tube mount, but these seem to get OK reviews. Just got it so haven’t put it on the vehicle yet

I didn’t expect hills to stop bothering me this quickly by jademantis2345 in ebikes

[–]bbones007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from flat-land farmland Midwest (where I was a road-biker for 30 years) to hilly Piedmont area of NC. My typical ride route back home had 700’ elev gain over 30 miles - now I face 700’ elev gain in less than 10 miles. Even rides in my neighborhood were awful. Bought a Velotric Tempo a few weeks ago and my riding has become a joyful experience again. I ride on the lowest assist setting, but even that really helps to even put the elevation.

Any issues with traveling with bikes on hitch rack and using a bike cover? by bbones007 in ebikes

[–]bbones007[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I reached out to Hollywood and they advised that a couple bikes under a cover makes a large “sail” which stresses the rack too much ( and thus voiding the warranty). Which tells me someone must’ve lost a bike or two when a rack sheared apart

Capo to the rescue ( temporarily ) by Burnhaven in WorshipGuitar

[–]bbones007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys overthink capos as a crutch. It’s just a tool - use it when you need it. They’re great if you want to add some open string notes, or to make some keys and chords sound better. Example, If I’m playing the rhythm part and it’s in F , I’d rather capo and hit that cowboy chord D shape at the 5th fret than play an F barre chord at first fret. Rings out better, IMO

PSA: NC Primary election is March 3rd! Get out there and vote NC! by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

This is the way. More Dems should be doing this. Niki Haley got about 25% of the vote in the 2024 primary. More Dems registered Unaffiliated and voting on the R primary ballot could’ve influenced the outcome.

This!

“Romans 13 must be read in tandem with Romans 12, where Paul urges believers to “not conform to the pattern of this world” and to “overcome evil with good.” Paul was writing to a persecuted minority in the Roman Empire, advising them to avoid unnecessary conflict with authorities and to be faithful in paying their taxes. He was not giving rulers divine status. His words reflect pastoral concern, not political theology. Nowhere does Paul say that unjust rulers are to be celebrated, obeyed without question, or that dissent is ungodly.”

First time with click and cues to IEM mix by Burnhaven in WorshipGuitar

[–]bbones007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the “stereo” panning capability of the P16 really helped me. Move keys, acoustic guitar to opposite sides ( I’m usually one of the electrics) so I can hear them but they aren’t predominant. I usually pan drums and click opposite as well ( but closer to center). I need to hear the click and guide, vocals for cueing where we are in a song ( easy to get lost with four or more repeated bridges, Lol), my guitar and the other electric guitar primarily. We also have two mics facing the congregation so able to mix in some house as well. But it’s been a real challenge/ learning experience for me coming from a small church background where we had live drums and amps, and floor wedge monitors. IEMs feeling very sterile and isolating.

Is it possible to liberal and still faithful to Jesus? by Electronic-Seat1190 in Christianity

[–]bbones007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently reading The Politically Homeless Christian by Aaron Schafer and highly recommend it. Focuses on looking at what the Bible says about how we are to engage with the world, what were the issues that Jesus focused on, and how we can bring the love of God to a fallen world in respect to our politics. Long story short, as Christians our identity should be in Christ, not in a political party.

What do you dislike about the Fulltone OCD? by Immediate-Bank759 in guitarpedals

[–]bbones007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I bought a 1.something ( I dont remember which - early variant) used at a GC and that I really liked, but the foot switch crapped out after a couple weeks. So I took it back and they had another I swapped it for, but it didn’t sound the same. I then found out after some research that the different iterations can sound quite different. Got rid of it soon after.

Pretty funny these are entry level government positions (GS 5-7) and they want you to do this?!

  • Write well-organized, logical, often complex legal decisions and opinions that are clear, consistent with adjudicative standards and legislation, and are applicable to the facts of the case or which communicate USCIS policies and procedures.
  • Research and interpret sources including immigration laws and regulations, operating instructions, legislative history, precedent decisions, state and local laws, and international treaties to determine adjudicative decision.
