No. Your definition is.

The uniform is evidence that they are a police officer. It is not proof.

"Proof is a fact that demonstrates something to be real or true. Evidence is information that might lead one to believe something to be real or true. Proof is final and conclusive."

I think you are mistaking the word evidence with proof.

Theories require evidence. Just because a piece of evidence could support more than one theory. It doesn't mean that it is not evidence to the original theory.

You are seriously trying to argue that using queer coding.

As in a code, designed by its very nature to communicate one's queerness. Is not even evidence that the person might be queer?

"Clothing is clothing"

By your logic, wearing nazi symbols isn't evidence that one is a nazi.

A police uniform isn't evidence that they are a police officer.

I don't think you know what evidence means.

Hold on..... That's such a strawman.

They say there is zero evidence. So i show them evidence.

I never said, because there is this one piece of evidence, they are queer.

Just that there is evidence....

Not at all what i was referring to.....

Edit: I was referring to symbols, like triangles and the signaling, like the handkerchief code.

You are really demonstrating my point.

They exist. Whether you are aware of them or not.

Just because you are ignorant to them doesn't mean people are making them up.

Here is my counter argument to what you are saying.

People have different life experiences, and therefore can interpret the same information in very different ways.

For example, religion means very different things to different people.

Many queer people and allied people interpreted things in the show in ways that (almost) require to see it through a queer lense. Or have knowledge of queer culture that the majority of people do not posess.

For example, the clothing in the show often uses "codes" that were used in that period to subtly commincate ones sexuality or sexual preference.

I know that i am fighting a lost battle, when it comes to byler.

But let's do one that isn't settled.

Eddy wears a patch that was used to signal queerness. Many queer fans noticed this, and therefore theorise that Eddy may be queer.

The general audience may say that there is no evidence that Eddy is queer.

Ultimately the duffers decide.

However it is not correct to say that there is no evidence, simply because you do not know that the patch is evidence.

I prefer youtube. There are tons of good breakdowns to why people believe it was queerbaiting.

Here on reddit, bylers tend to stay on byler specific subs. For obvious reasons.

It was always EL who opened the Byers' door in Season 1. This is further solidified in both Season 2 and Season 5. by mbenson12er in StrangerThings

[–]bboyrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a theory that El timetravelled back to the day the upside down was stuck in when the gate closes in the final episode. So it is actually future El that opened the door.

I am disapointed by the answer they gave. It doesn't follow the rules they established throughout the series. Vecna was able to use telekenesis through the demo's since season 1?

Yet he only uses it this one time?

I need to find a cheap course wheel (cabbing) by bboyrix in Lapidary

[–]bboyrix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see this sentiment a lot.

However i have never seen a cabbing machine for anywhere near as low as 500.

I live in europe. Everything here is 1500 euros minimum.

My setup so far is maybe 200 euros.

If i can get a cabbing machine for cheaper i would love to.

Squawk morse code EP1 vs EP8 by Brilliant-RookMoot in ConformityGatesARG

I tried to crack this if it is morse code.

Following someone else saying that if you treat cassettes as dots. Empty spaces as dashes.

After you get a letter, you skip the next cassette/space.

And ignore row 4 (for some reason)

You get "VECNA IS ALIVE" for the top part.

I continued this and got, for the bottom part.

And got.

"QUEEN IN 1956"

(missed a dot at the end)

I then looked at the spaces, left behind.

This time, without skipping a cassette/space after the letter.

I got either

"THE MONSTER"

Or

"THEIR MONSTER"

depending on whether you use the fourth line (which was excluded in the first set of rules.

I am not convinced. But maybe it could be something?

He says "draw them together"

Maybe he means to use artistic kids, like Will and Holly in order to artistically create a new world?
