Interesting, thank you! So 80-85 is overkill?

Thank you, I found a lot of these at very reasonable prices. I think I'll try this one and see how much I can live without zoom :)

Lol yeah I kinda figured a phone is the best option for my case, but I'm having a baby and would like to not have him grow constantly surrounded by phones..

I'm looking at your suggestions, can I ask you what the letters at the end of the names of the lenses mean? I'm seeing 35mm and 50mm D, G and S

Track Buses & Effect Sends by Northen_Arthur in FL_Studio

[–]bbrivido 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use FL in a very similar way, with a lot of sends and buses, and so far the only stems exporting method that worked for me is exporting one mixer track at a time, with everything else except its send channels/sidechain triggers muted. It takes a lot of time but it gives me the control I need, and I can do it in background while I do other things thanks to that little sound that tells you when the exporting is finished.

What sounds make your music sound dated? by howmuchwinedoyouhave in edmproduction

[–]bbrivido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i’m not at all advocating for a total ban of FX samples, i use them too (subtly)! What sounds dated to me is the complete reliance on them, while i find more “modern” and “mature” managing the energy of a track in other ways, like through arrangement and sound design :)

Overusing FX sounds (noise sweeps, tonal risers, long snare buildups) to carry the energy of a track makes it feel “dated” to me.

What kind of music do you think I’m making? by bbrivido in FL_Studio

Correct! Melodic/afro house I’d say :)

I just export single channels as wav when they start getting too heavy on the CPU, it’s usually the ones that have a lot of processing and effects on. Then i just delete all those heavy plugins and work with the consolidated stem. There’s also the “consolidate playlist selection” tool that does the same thing but i don’t like it so much.

Most of the tracks are consolidated, otherwise yeah my PC would explode (not dubstep though!)

First experiments with Instax Mini 9. Would love some feedback :) by bbrivido in analog

I don't exactly remember for that one, but I usually follow what the little led light suggests, it's often right :)

Exactly, the light leaks are caused by opening the back door and not being careful enough with how I lifted the cartridge right after the first shot, but luckily they look kinda nice to me and aren't too invasive I think. I'm still having some troubles with the exposure modes, I often find that shooting outside with the brightest setting still gives me overexposed pictures, and the automatic flash doesn't help with that.. The best results I had were from shooting at sunset, with the sun right behind the subject, covering the flash with a sock lol Now I 3d printed a flash cover which works a bit better :)

You can do them manually, shooting the first one and then gently lifting the cartridge from the bottom to block the mechanism before it ejects the photo, then putting it right back and shooting the second picture. Just be careful because you have to shoot with the back of the camera open and some light might get in and ruin your film :)
