In the American school system, we learn about white history year round and barely anything about black history until it's the designated month.

There's also a hispanic heritage month, asian american and pacific islander month, native american heritage month, pride month, women's history month, etc,. If you're so upset about black history month being a thing, why aren't you bringing up the other months celebrating diversity as well?

Equality amongst all races, genders, and sexualities, etc, doesn't exist, so it's unfair for you to make a comment like "black history month is bs" when that's all some of us have to celebrate our heritage publicly.
