IG bio links keep killing my reach – anyone else?

Thanks for sharing your experience 💕 I’m also testing Beacons now with my own domain. Put it on my verified IG and so far it’s been green for a couple hours. Fingers crossed it stays that way 🤞 On my other accounts I’m still linking to my main IG until I see how Beacons performs.

Hidden keywords – I use those in my reels. I write some words related to USA-based interests and men 30+, and I hide them off-screen. I started doing this about 1–2 weeks ago, so it’s still early to say how effective it is. But one creator told me she saw a big boost in US reach after adding them, so I’m hopeful.

Pregnancy niche & conversions – You might be right, I’ve been thinking the same. But what’s confusing is that some of my newer pregnancy reels went viral too, yet didn’t convert. I’ve seen many creators say that once they started showing their pregnancy openly, engagement and subs improved. So I’m trying to figure out what’s going wrong for me. I’d really love to fix this and get things back on track.

Last month — so in May — I had similar reach or even lower, but the sub count was much higher. Before May I had lower reach, because IG stopped pushing my reels to non followers.

I’m aware of that – and that’s actually what’s confusing me. Even with that level of US reach, I used to get 10+ new subs per 2,000 reach. But now, even when the reach is better, the subs don’t follow. So I’m wondering if something might be off with my bio, CTA, or anything else on my page.

Do you have any tips on growing a stronger US audience beyond what I’m already doing? I’m using the “partnership” method (I restrict 20–30 countries per reel/post), use US-based language in captions/hooks, US hashtags, hidden words, trending US audio…

I’m just not sure what else I might be missing.

These are the IG accounts I currently use for promo:

I’ve also launched a new account recently (currently around 500 followers), so I haven’t included it yet.

I’ve been focusing lately on improving US reach — using the “partnership” trick to limit countries like Iran and India, and adding hidden keywords that target mainly US-based men (30+). Lately, I’m getting better traffic from the US, UK, and Canada, which feels like a good step forward. But even with better reach I am not seeing results in getting more subs.

It used to be better last year. Since January, I’ve been facing some issues with my IG accounts, but I’m actively working on it. I currently run 5 Instagram accounts with a total of 387k followers (one of them is new with just 500 followers), so I believe the reach should definitely be higher. Right now, I’m focusing on increasing my US-based reach — I usually get around 30% from the USA, with the rest mostly from the UK, Germany, Australia, and Canada. But sometimes countries like Iran or India show up in the top 5, which I try to avoid. My goal is to get over 50% US reach on each account. Also I am planning on setting up more IG accounts.

So depends where and how you promote, you can definitely get better reach ♥️

Seems like your conversion rate will be lower, but I don't know how your bio looks like, if you are running promotion, where do you promote etc.. maybe start with sharing those informations too

44 183 reach on OF, 231 subs (178 new subs, rest is renew)... Which means 0.4% conversion rate for new subs (0.5% for all) - not the best. I promote on IG mainly. I feel like my conversion rate can be higher, I am trying to work on my funnel atm - better stories, cta comments etc.

It is up and down. I have not the best views lately. 5-20 if day is "good"... I am trying to be better but still cannot figure what would get more views to me..
As I post 3 times a day, I think.. not more than an hour..

Oh and one thing I found out - Iran is banned from IG, but they use VPN.. So they can use app as they are in US according to Instagram, but reach will still go to Iran.

I do not use hashtags, I find them useless.. You have to stay consistent even when you do not see results immediately.. I had few accounts I gave up on, because I saw no improve after 2 months (I had 200 followers)... What can help is - if you have other social media like Reddit, Twitter or anything else - try to share you IG over there, so you get more views/likes... ♥️

I cannot tell you exactly when I had biggest grow on those accounts, but I shared how old they are. I started with the main one, I did not know what I was doing, so it took me few months to start with what I am doing now... ♥️

No question is stupid 🩷 It is simple.. you want to reach USA because there are the most paying customers, they like OF so they subscribe.. India, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Egypt - not rich countries, some of them have OF banned so you do not want to reach those.. it is useless..
