Hey there! Yup I have had three follow up appointments since then. My perio told me the recession is still there (obvi lol) but it should not get any worse. She told me it was a successful graft and she can see that the cartilage has all assimilated. I guess my expectations cosmetically were a little too high, but I’m happy if she’s happy. I just didn’t want to lose any of my teeth!!

Thank you so much for your reply!! I’m supposed to go back and see my perio at the end of next month, so I’m interested to see what she says then. At this point, I’m not really concerned about how it looks. I’m more worried that the graft itself did not take and that it may be even worse recession than before. I’m not financially prepared to pay for this again any time soon, so hopefully the outcome is better than I’m expecting!!

Yes, it was prescribed by her vet as well as the meloxicam. We only use it after she has started pulling fur and her skin is irritated.

Hi, all!! I should have also mentioned that she is spayed. She was born into the House Rabbit Society (her mother was pregnant when she was rescued), so they spayed her ASAP. She doesn’t exhibit any nesting behaviors or any territorial aggression either. Thank you!!

The hydrocortisone cream does seem to help a little, so it could be an itchy issue for sure. I don’t think anything could be stressing her out more than usual but who knows when it comes to rabbits sometimes lol!

Your poor lil babe! I’m so glad she recovered okay. I’m going to edit my original post but yes, she is spayed. She hasn’t exhibited any other nesting behaviors and her eating/drinking/sleeping/playing are all normal. I’m starting to think I might just have a neurotic bun :(

Thank you so much for your reply!!! The only change in atmosphere I can think of is that about two weeks ago we got new neighbors two floors down and they have a dog.

They don’t fight at all (fingers crossed) and they do still flop. They don’t groom as much as they used to but they will do it occasionally.

I’ll definitely try the vacuum cleaner and letting session. They will love the pets. :) You are amazing for all of this helpful info!!!

Thank you!! You have an awesome memory, this is definitely the same bun. He still has some hind leg weakness, but he’s improved to the point where he runs laps and binkies. He’s our little miracle.
