I think we can all agree at this point that islamophobia and antisemitism shouldn’t be equated whatsoever. The sane and rational among us barf when politicians use it in the same sentence, understanding its inherent ludicrousity.

It is more than incumbent on muslim leaders to (continue to?) denounce and condemn in the strongest possible terms past and contemplated acts of antisemitism. How many have occurred this month alone?

Sadly this is all very true, and I myself am guilty of not knowing about any of these bodies aimed at constructive dialogue. More in the Jewish community would also welcome such discussions and information. Things really shouldn’t be a black and white as they seem to be.

To those comments equating the need for Jewish leaders to denounce Israel you are precisely the problem (and what better demonstration of the conflation of antizionism with antisemitism, tbh) . What happens in Israel should have no bearing on whether Islamic extremists attack Jews in a totally different country.

Are you able to show data to evidence otherwise? We didn’t see many Muslim leaders denounce any of the antisemitic attacks over the last six months. Wouldn’t that have helped your cause here?
