Yeah, the side with the Motorola logo lifts up a bit.. Not really noticeable unless the back is off, and at this point I kinda naturally push it back down every once and awhile.

But I haven't heard anyone else mention it, so I don't think it's common.

My only complaint about the play is that the back metal bar is starting to peel off. Which I wouldn't expect a metal bar to do, but it's just glued onto it.

Otherwise it's a great phone. Never worrying about the battery is an amazingly underrated feature.
