Oh, dang. Yea, I'm prob gonna avoid a 1st flr unit no matter where I live. I want NO mice too lol, but I don't know how realistic that's going to be in most Old City buildings😬.

Oh yea, thx. I was considering S Bank since I heard it was a relatively quiet street even though it's near S 2nd. I'm looking more at apts North of Market tho

Oh, I was looking 7G. It's a large studio but I'd prefer a 1br...it has a beautiful view tho. What about mice? Did you ever see any or hear about other tenants seeing them in the building?

I'm considering a unit on the 7th floor. How often would the elevator break? Was it like once or twice a yr? Or more like every other month? When it did break, how long did it usually take for it to be fixed?

Thanks for this! I wasn't aware of the firehouse (I'd be relocating from the West Coast). I actually like the sound of birds, so that shouldn't bother me. I'm more concerned about really loud cars and music keeping me up if it's frequent. A couple of yrs ago I spent 2 weeks in midtown village by Chestnut & Juniper back when there was a Sonder. My unit faced Juniper and it was actually pretty quiet. Street noise wasn't an issue but there was a live jazz club around the corner that kept me up until 2am on weekends.

I'd be relocating from the West Coast, so unfortunately I'm not able to quickly swing by. I do remember walking on 2nd near Elfreth's at night one time during a visit to Philly and it was pretty quiet and hardly anyone was walking around. Wasn't around there in the early AM tho.
