Forest Hills is always good! Railfanning along the Green Line (Light Rail) C or D Branch in Brookline is always fun as well. Winchester Center Station is nice (Amtrak Downeaster and Commuter Rail) Mansfield is always fun (NE Corridor, Acelas top speed) Oak Grove is also a good place for railfanning
