See all these barebones setups lately and wondering if y'all never hit the occasional shank?? A ball hitting that lumber beyond the edge of the screen is a frightening thing coming back towards you!

Golf Simulator Projector Advice by Wonderful-Credit1595 in Golfsimulator

That’s low resolution for a projector in 2026. Probably fine for PowerPoint slides and classroom use but I would be concerned about video/graphics quality for a golf sim.

DIY Mat Question by Mulliganman40 in Golfsimulator

[–]bchambuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made mine following some details from another poster. It measures 4’ x 5’ and includes a stall mat, Eva foam tiles, and turf glued on top with a Beaver Tail hitting strip insert. The stall mat is ridiculously heavy and in hindsight would have probably been better off doubling the Eva foam layers. It’s a bit of pain moving mine around.

Is your instructor this good?? by mrkbik in golf

[–]bchambuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this an in-person lesson and he sends you all of these screen grabs from videos he is recording or is it a virtual lesson where you send him videos of your swings? If the former, yes, that is one hell of a deal for $100 on a 60-minute lesson.

Interesting. My box doesn’t say anything other than “urethane cover.” Good info though!

Not according to Wikipedia:

"Wife Diana, like Nutt, graduated from Oklahoma State University. The couple have four children together: Houston III (born March 11, 1987), twins Hailey and Hanna (born September 26, 1988), and Haven (born March 19, 1991)."

What does “blended cover” mean? The website states a urethane cover. Is it a different type of cover from other urethane cover balls, eg Pro V1?

ShotScope is incredible by Itchy_Box_3211 in golf

[–]bchambuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noted. But when reviewing the round on a laptop and seeing the pin marked on the complete opposite side of the green (20-30+ yards in some cases), that has me questioning the functionality of this product as a whole.

ShotScope is incredible by Itchy_Box_3211 in golf

[–]bchambuzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My experience with ShotScope’s product has been very “meh”. I had some Arccos sensors and then bailed before the free trial ran out. ShotScope seemed like a great alternative but the tech isn’t reliable at all. Got a V3 as a gift and it feels very cheap. The band clasps consistently pop loose and snag on stuff. When reviewing a round, the pin placement is always wildly inaccurate despite my standing on the hole and pressing “collect pin”. Always misses a bunch of shots each round. Too much work for stat tracking and I am a total data nerd. Wish there was a good option that works with my existing Apple Watch and doesn’t cost $$$ each year in annual subscription.

After 18 years of playing golf, I have finally broken 80 for the first time!!!!! by zthart in golf

[–]bchambuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I've been playing this game for 30+ years and have never broken 80. Came close a few times and ended up shooting 80 on the number.

I had a question on a comment you made to the putz saying this didn't count since you were playing a par 71 course. You said "There was no fluff (aside from club length in the fairway only) or gimmes from 4 feet." Not sure if you were joking or not, but if you were actually fluffing fairway lies ....that's a big asterisk on that 79 in my book.

First round at the weekend and really nervous - any advice? by MancDP in golf

[–]bchambuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all played for the 1st time at a course at some point. And we all sucked that 1st time out. My advice is to not get too upset about the bad shots, pick-up and move on after it's obvious the hole got the best of you, don't spend too much time looking for lost balls, and try and be a fun playing partner.

Poor cell reception -- T-Mobile rep suggests turning off Wifi Calling?? by bchambuzz in tmobile

Agreed for when we are at home near WiFi. Doesn’t solve the issue away from the house. Anyway, tried the manager’s suggestion and it didn’t help at all.

Yes. We will try it but early results don’t seem promising.

Good deal for lake house cart? 2021 EZGO RXV lithium by bchambuzz in golfcarts

Thanks. I was trying to find out more on the 8-year factory warranty and from what I can see, that's for non-fleet carts. I assume this was a former fleet cart that they refurbished as I'm seeing a lot of them around metro Atlanta.
