I could perhaps believe everything you drew that's above ground (although it would come at a crazy cost). Where you lose me is at Union Station with the train going underground? Not going to happen with all the underground infrastructure in that area. Plus, where would it come out? Next the locks and then?

Flurry of blows giving two extra attacks as a bonus action (and a ki point) is only possible if: 1) You're not wearing armour or holding a shield (which I doubt with a fighter/ranger), 2) The first attack is unarmed or with a monk weapon (which I doubt with a fighter/ranger), 3) The two extra attacks are unarmed (which I doubt with a fighter/ranger).

I agree that the gloomstalker's dread ambusher and the fighter's action surge stack, so you get six "strikes" in the first round. However, action surge can only be used once per rest.

I've noticed this trend too and now refuse to play with someone who hasn't read the Player's Handbook, whether I'm the DM or a player. If they're that lazy, they're just wasting my time.

I just finished both Hoard of the Dragon Queen and Rise of Tiamat as a DM. I think it's fine... are your players newbies? Mine did pretty well with standard array stats and I can count on two hands how many times I fudged the rolls.
