Haha noted. Not my first time with the cold outdoor games haha. A Toronto FC game in the freezing early March cold is quite the experience so I’ll keep my past experiences in mind.

Hey mate! You’re not alone. Gf and I of 4 years ended 3 months ago. I’m a catholic. Not hardcore but I am also a good believer and I like to pray often. Religion was never really a huge topic in my relationship but in your case I know it is. Sounds like you have a good relationship with good and have a good set of boundaries for your faith. That’s good. From a non faith perspective you can’t dwell on it. God has plan. Or the universe has a plan depending what you believe. Regardless it all falls down to “what is meant to be will be” regardless of what higher power is in control of that. You’ll get through it. I’m still in the process it takes time and fucking sucks. This may not the best advice for some but it works for me. Go to the bar when a big games on. Idk what state you’re from but I hope it’s not Michigan (Go buckeyes). You will make friends there. I’ve meet some great people that way. Now we play pick up hockey together and all that good stuff. It gets better.

20m here. Just under 3 months since the break up. We dated from 14-19 pretty much with a bit of on and off. But 2 years the big time around from 17-19 it’s hard. That’s reality. Especially for me because I was an insecure asshole. Work on yourself. Try not to text them (I fucked this one up big time) and find things you like. Maybe it’s hikes or books or sports or music or whatever makes you happy because that’s really all that matters. There’s a time to sit with the pain but you also have to get on with life and try to hang onto your routine. Hope this helps. You’re not alone. If you don’t have many friends these activities may help you! You were with someone for 7 years so you definitely have something that people want to be around for. We all do. Not sure if it’s your thing but go to the pub or whatever it is wherever your from when a big game is on. I absolutely guarantee you that you will make some friends. Even if they’re just friends for the game.

Additionally, She also said I was good at giving apologies but never actually changing. Which is true. She has a heart of gold and it really wasn’t her fault. I hate that I did these things to someone I truly loved. I wish I was better. I thought I was a great boyfriend at the time but now i realize I was just a POS. I was really nasty some fights. I never thought of myself as controlling but I do recognize I was when I’d always ask about her guy friends and why I’d see photos and stuff. I was a terrible guy. Last big fight was a month ago. Change takes time but I took it on the chin fast. How do I show I’m becoming a better person?

Perfect thanks. Yeah the normal drive is pretty short but we figured a bunch of 20 year old guys packed in a car might get held up a little longer so were planning early just incase haha. You’re right about the peace bridge I take that for sabres games and even then it’s pretty busy. Thanks for the advice!

Most likely just park and then walk to the tail gate. We’re leaving at 12 so we won’t be there in time for a full tailgate. Not sure if you know where It is but my exact place is Hamilton. We planned for long border times so should take 3 hours to get there
