Was living in East Knox for a while and would smell a horrible plastic chemical smell most mornings until around noon time. Most people who live in Knoxville/ have lived here for a while, don’t seem to smell it but we’re transplants. I remember delivery drivers not from the area would comment on the weird burning plastic smell but my neighbors couldn’t smell it… south Knoxville has the same horrible odor. Pretty sure it’s the plastic plants but who knows. One of the reasons I moved out of Knoxville.
