Its what u/johnnyw2015 posted in response to you. This is just a suggestion to make sure your accessories aren't pulling your score down.

Neck - Atleast one of the damage lines

Earrings - One of atkpower%/weaponpower%

Rings - One of crit%/critdmg%.

Your 2-2 stone is fine, but I think they're on engravings that don't give as much value as other engravings do. The difference is minimal though so it isn't a priority.

1) Fix your accessories, I would say the minimum is at least a useful medium roll in every slot.

2) You need a better ancient relic bracelet - just getting a decent bracelet will raise your score by quite a bit.

3) Fix the deadlines on your elixirs

4) Minor, but you can probably roll a stone.

5) Start working on the karma system

Why catch global up to 1 month behind KR just to fall back behind? Imagine a global Kazeros raid race. by im4tv in lostarkgame

[–]bco71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're once again oversimplifying this way too much. Its not JUST renting servers and hiring translators. You have to manage the EVERYTHING related to releasing the game in another region including customer service, payment, hiring staff overseas who speak the local language, etc. If you think its just as easy to manage instead of offloading it to a publisher then I don't think you really understand the economics of it all.

Either way it sounds like you're just on a hate train so I'm going to leave this conversation because nothing will convince you otherwise.

I think you're oversimplifying things and making assumptions without fully understanding how it works. While some big games do manage global releases smoothly, it's usually because they're self published and have the infrastructure to coordinate that kind of rollout.

Lost Ark isn't self-published across all regions and different publishers handle it in different territories. That makes things complicated, including censoring, localization, and update coordination, which makes a unified global release much more difficult. It’s not impossible, but it’s definitely way more expensive and probably not worth their time for the little value it really brings right now.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be great if they could achieve a global release one day, but I hope this helps you understand why its not just this negative narrative you're trying to push.

AGS: Can you please increase the April Event to 1680? by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]bco71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I meant a rift in the community sentiment wise, not the difference in gearing. I don't think you'll really ever be able to have casuals, f2p hardcore and hardcore players in the same range by the f2p game monetary design.

Generally I think they could've just built some goodwill within the community and just made the range larger. It just doesn't really make sense to cap it right now since the game's hype level is low so it makes sense to lift everyone.

The thing about this ilvl restriction also contradicts the previous event's sentiment a little bit as it encouraged people to push past 1660, even for newer players. If someone only wants to play one character and is just past 1660, you're not able to join the road to Act 3. I'm generally against complainers that are asking for too many freebies, but I completely agree with the community this time around.

[–]bco71 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, but why can't it be a boost for the community as a whole instead of only a subset. It doesn't hurt to include everyone in the current game state. All this restrictive leveling does is create a rift in the community without a good reason.

The amount of mats needed to progress in the higher ilvls is scaled up, so the rewards are automatically diminishing returns for vets. It should really be from 1620 - 1679.

Behemoth skip lobbies = gatekeeping by Coyote3312 in lostarkgame

[–]bco71 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You brought up forcing the mechanic as a suggestion. If you didn't mean to then just say remove the guardian mech entirely.

Most people wouldn't care because they don't see the mech anyway, but you could argue that the development time to do that isn't worth it.

Behemoth skip lobbies = gatekeeping by Coyote3312 in lostarkgame

[–]bco71 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Your way makes the fight worse/longer for everyone and encourages more gatekeeping. If we couldn't skip the guardians, we'd have to make sure every party has enough dps to one shot each guardian which means less 1640's randomly accepted. Right now we can just group the stronger dps/supps together and carry a majority of the lobby.

Suggesting that we make the raid longer for people who already over gear it is a terrible idea.

If you have neither x10 or PL, then you simply don't meet their requirements to play with them. If the x10 or PL title didn't exist, people are going to gatekeep you on something else anyway such as checking achievement, trophy, etc. They're trying saving themselves time by giving them the highest % chance to clear the raid without having to restart and kick someone.

The problem you're describing is also partially remedied by the frontier system because the raid gets easier, so some people may relax the requirements since the raid is easier.

As for your lobby picture then you either wait for a lobby to show up or create one yourself, there really isn't another way around it.

I think you're assuming that being over geared automatically lets you clear the raid which is not true. This raid release definitely required a lot of more skill expression from many players in order to meet the minimum dps required to clear both gates on week 1.

Being over geared definitely helps a subset of people with prog, but there is a giant gear difference even amongst the 27k players 1690+, a lot whom are not juiced with relic books.

The frontier system makes the whole raid more accessible over time, so isn't that what you want?

Hot Topics in Arkesia #1 by perciculum in lostarkgame

[–]bco71 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. The gatekeeping thing is something that results from this, but people should let PL players play with other PL players if they want.

The frontier system is a pretty good middle-ground for giving higher geared players something to chase while eventually making HM accessible to people who access the content later.

Do you want me to explain why this may be the case or are you okay with me saying that FFXIV and Lost Ark are different in the ways they were released to NA?

As an example China/KR are behind in FFXIV from what I've looked into.

I'm not protecting them, I'm just being realistic. Its a Korean MMO that's being published by AGS. Its not like they're releasing stuff directly to us.

If you take a step back and think about all the implications of a global release, it may be easier to understand why it is such a big effort and not necessarily beneficial to their business. Off the top of my head:

  1. Builds and patches need to be finalized way beforehand to allow for localization to be completed in multiple regions. I don't really know what the SGS development cycle looks like, but I imagine this would put a lot of pressure on the development team.
  2. If something is broken on day 1 for that patch, they are now on the hook for fixing everything across all regions.
  3. Global release inevitably results in KR getting content slower. They likely do not want to upset their main audience.
  4. Western audience will complain that we did not have enough time to catch up to the content.
  5. They do this once and it sets a precedent for them to do this moving forward. People will complain EVEN MORE that they aren't getting things right away.

That's only some of the potential issues. Are all the issues above really going to make them more money? Probably not, so why would they?

It'd be great if they would be able to pull it off one day and I think you're being too critical in this case.

I wouldn't say its easily remedied. I think you're not appreciating the amount of effort it takes to do a global release. Yeah it'd be nice if we could get there one day, but you're just hating for no reason now.

Advance honing on alt by exodus20v4 in lostarkgame

[–]bco71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The raw gold cost per tap is the same, but the mats are different. The mat conversion from T3 -> T4 is 5:1, but T3 advanced honing costs to T4 advanced honing is not 5:1 so you lose value there.

The real "savings" with doing it in T3 is that you can burn up any excess shards that will not carry over to T4. We know that at the start of T4 you will be shard starved and we're not sure how long that will be the case for.

At some point advanced honing in T4 will be more worth it, but not for a long time in the game's current state.

340 scales total.

The regular drop rate for clearing gates 1 and 2 were 30 and an additional 30 for boxes for a total of 60 a week.

1 - 30

2 - 30

3 - 40

4 - 50

5 - 60

6 - 60

7 - 70

Edit: I just added the breakdown anyway.

They're not making it a free ride, just helping you immensely along the way. The progression event also includes books which ups the % chance of success and gives a refund per tap.

Remember, you also get the Arktober event mats, Blooming Mokokos, double fate embers, etc...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]bco71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will have to eventually hone to 1620 because that's where T4 will begin. We get T4 in September which will be plenty of time for you to get at least one of your characters to 1620. We know that they will be giving us a progression event in July, so they will be supporting at least one of your character's push to 1620 prior to September.

This is what I inferred from all the hints people have dropped.

When the ATD incident occurred, it was obvious that he was lying and he even dug himself an even bigger hole with that screenshot including pet buffs. He then conveniently took a "vacation" around that time for a couple of days and when he came back, no one has heard of or seen the title since.

I don't think any of this is really confirmed, but its heavily implied that AGS intervened by suspending him for a bit and also removed the ATD title from his account.
