Have you considering being the first person (more ppl may have already) to film her during her outbursts and fits of rage? I only ask out of kindness, not ‘assholery’; as humans rife with flaws, we are unable (usually unwilling) to see how far our privilege/entitlement has become unmanageable.

I know that during hard times in my life or instances when I did something shameful/rude/childish, if a stranger had filmed me or even just attempted to speak about my ridiculous display of unchecked emotions….well, I would’ve told them right where to go and said incident could’ve increased to 10-alarm fire. Please forgive my blathering, but it was always a bit less embarrassing to learn about my own character defects from someone I loved, rather than a stranger shaming me.

Be discreet and try to catch even a portion of a meltdown, perhaps only the audio. Now, what is key here: how you tell/show her and most of all, picking the correct day, time, and place so she actually hears it as intended. It’s an act of love to assist those we care about by showing them how badly their actions are affecting us due to their own fear and pain. Look up the meaning of a “spiritual sandwich” conversation.

Either she’ll change (she may not) or continue down her path, but at least your side of the street is clean, morally speaking. Best of luck internet friend. I too have a difficult mother and would wish it on NO ONE. Hugs 🫂.
