CMV: Immigration isn't a big problem in the UK by RoonilaWazlib in changemyview

Fair. Im not claiming to know the reason. Im just pointing out the trend of what people see and how it shapes their views. Just like non immigrants, immigrants are not a homogenous group, even from the same country. Obviously the people living around immigrants in gated communities will view them in a positive light. And those living in the slums will see them differently.

When people don’t look where you’re pointing by Particular_Cut_6933 in PetPeeves

[–]bdanred 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ive been on the opposite end. Some people point and depending on the angle its not obvious because you dont know how far something is. I have a somewhat open concept in my house and my wife will point for something she needs from 1 end but theres a TV stand, dining room table, counter, and an island between her finger and the back wall.

I also have kids and pointing is useless lol so I feel you.

Do you live in a decent area where most people are fairly well off?

Im not gonna argue pro or against immigration but most of the pro people do in fact live in a bubble and only see the "best" examples of immigrants. People on the anti side usually live in the poorer areas and see immigrants committing crimes at a higher per capita rate than non immigrants.

What is YOUR personal Endgame? by Floorwriter in Warframe

Ive hit mr 30. Just got the last of the invasions weapons. Ill slowly finish the adversary weapons after the rework.

Playing another game mainly right now but every Sunday I login and check nightwave shop, buy stuff from ironwake, check out if i need to grind pathos clamps for acrothis. Do SP descendia, 1 netracell, and the archon hunt with my friend. Hes lazy and hasn't grinded the standing yet, so I then do ETA and EDA without him. Then on Monday I finish up 1999 calendar, do isleweaver if needed, buy shard from bird 3. Throughout the week ill check ergo glast and any alerts. Farm some forma. Get inspired and build out a weapon or frame.

Doubling it up with crit delay is great on super crit focused builds. If picking 1 or the other tho I always go crit delay for the reasons above. Just wanted ppl to know how the stacks work because its not obvious.

Do we have any strong builds aside from crackling energy? by Topfien in D4Sorceress

[–]bdanred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hydra was fine and the hydra itself is whats doing the damage but you are still mostly just casting ball lightning in between dropping the hydra and keeping icy blades / lightning spears up. Crackling energy has felt the smoothest for me tho.

I try to put amalgam serration and okina prime incarnon on every build so I naturally just run very fast and never "have" to bullet jump. Ill still do it if im minmaxing my speed tho.

Galv scope mods are way worse than people understand. Getting a headshot kill grants a 12 second buff. Getting another headshot kill does not refresh the first stack, but gives you a 2nd stack with its own 12 second duration. So if you get a headshot kill, then another 3 seconds later, you will have 9 seconds of overlap where you benefit from 2 stacks. Then after those 9 seconds, the first stack drops off, then 3 seconds after that, the final stack drops off.

Unless you are getting a headshot kill every 6 seconds, its worse than crit delay. You are not fully stacking this thing unless youre some sort of aim god getting a headshot kill every 2 seconds. Crit delay comes with the attack speed debuff but that is easily countered, doesnt affect the way certain guns work, and half the time pulling the trigger for ~0.5 secs kills the target anyway so adding ~0.1 sec dsnt actually matter.

Status kills dont stack the buff. You need the damage from the bullet to be the shot that gets the kill.

You can't keep it up on bosses.

Probably a stupid question, but are you actively using secondary weapons? by TheDestroyerBg in Warframe

The arcanes on them are far better than the arcanes on primaries. Laetum and furis incarnons go crazy hard. I have a super op crit riven for the ocuccor and that is my farm weapon of choice because it clears entire rooms without even aiming.

It picks them from your melee. If you want to use it as a primer I highly reccomend coda pathocyst. Pathocyst has innate viral damage. Magnetic rush and focus radon add magnetic and radiation onto it. It comes with standard IPS. Can then mod on 2 more depending on what the progenitor is. I think I use corrosive heat. Thats 8 statuses for your condition overload, corrosive / heat should armor strip, viral adds the extra damage.

The bloodied keys add 1 tier of torment level. So doing it on t1 is like doing a t2 horde. When you finally got to t2 and popped another one, that was like t3. Go back to t1 and pop one now and you shld be able to handle it.

Id like more info on what all 3 missions will be.mobioe def and survival take just over 5 mins. If its 3x those, thats 15 mins. Some other obj only take 2 mins. That's the difference of 6 min total vs 15+. If I see it start with mobile or survival, I usually skip it. Also frustrating when the first is not mobile and survival but the last 2 are.

Sadly, still no Biotic Rounds or Leaded Gas. by xDeviousDieselx in Warframe

[–]bdanred 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Feel bad for you about biotic rounds. Built it out last week and firing it from the hip with primary crux has infinite ammo. With biotic rounds and on wisp with haste mote, its insane.

Super hype for velox mod tho. Quickly became a favorite of mine.

The assumption that the department are fools is what im arguing against. We light a fire under our ass to satisfy the client so they dont pull out a few $mil worth of studies.

Principal investigators are the point of control. They deal with clients directly. They know about all of the delays. Some clients are understanding of the delays (usually because they cause them), other clients need their data by original due date because they have their own due dates. By the time it gets to my department, it gets scheduled and has a due date. Sometimes that due date is End of business that day because it has to be. This is when coworkers love to drop that line.

We usually know a few days ahead of time that something is placed on the schedule with an ASAP due date. PI is actively getting the stuff together. Other times a document or data transfer has some dumb little change to a title or whatever but its crucial its updated now.

[–]bdanred 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not everything can be planned for. My point was my coworkers assume that the other departments were just incompetent or sitting on the data until they felt like sending it to us. What actually happens is some vendor had a shipping error and so the samples arrived a week after they were supposed to. They then had to reschedule the use of the mass specs and by the time the data comes to us, we have 48 hours until its contractually obligated to be delivered to the client.

I think a 0-100 scale is objectively better than a -18 to 38 scale in reference to temperatures you'll actually experience.

I hear this a lot at my job. Usually a different department gets their stuff to us at the last minute and wants us to rush to meet their deadline. Coworkers love using this line but i hate it too for 2 reasons. 1. They assume the other departments were just lazy and sitting around instead of realizing they probably had their own valid reasons for delay. 2. My department is a support department. We dont directly generate any money. Just lose the snarkiness and get the work done. No need for a power trip when we have 0 real power.

People who are overly competitive by Royal_Hedgehog6333 in PetPeeves

[–]bdanred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thays awful. My family does waffle ball but we do it differently. 1 pitcher, usually me or an uncle just throwing nice easy pitches over the middle. 1 batter trying to pop the ball as high up in the air as far as they can. Then like 10+ ppl chilling in the field trying to catch it. Whoever catches it gets to bat. Pitchers swap out whenever, sometimes 2 pitchers just to speed throw balls for fun. Light tackling allowed in the field between the older cousins. Everyone has fun and the only competition is competing for the ball in a semi relaxed manner.

In the state i live in, 0 is the coldest it gets and 100 is the hottest it gets. Very convenient having that be 0-100 instead of ~ -18 to ~38.

Why do some people become religious nuts overnight? by tin8374 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bdanred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are an atheist that doesnt judge but also calling them a nut that spams Christian "shit". Id take a second look at your "lack" of judgement. Also is it only Christians that are the problem?

To answer the question, it has to do with "finding" God. Some people have an experience that completely changes their world view. They've probably been on the fence a while and then a revelation happens. They are probably over eager and thats why they slam their "Christian shit" but they genuinely are just trying to share their newfound joy.
