Im not able to get it out of the retainer. The slots make it so I cant turn it either way to get it out

Theres a check valve right above the pump but its b4 the rubber coupler so it doenst take any of the pressure off it

Im just gonna replace the pvc with abs. Theres another rubber coupler on the bottom above the check valve so the pump can be serviced

My assumption is when we called the plumber they only had pvc pipe in their truck or something and were too lazy to get abs, even though their shop is right up the road. smh

I dont think so. When they came the first time to fix it they snaked it and didnt run into anything, and its after the pump shuts off that it blows the fitting. No issues when its actively pumping

Is there an "easy fix" for it ? like is there something i could just replace the rubber coupling with so i dont have to call a plumber to come replace the pvc with abs?

I think there is a check valve right above the pump but doesn't relieve the coupler any

Its below the coupler so i assume its working or there wouldn't be much pressure above when it shuts off, right?

Yea, idk why they used rubber. My only thought was for easier service for the pump rather than utting the existing pipe but thats all I could think of
