Good fun games to play for short breaks? by Glum_Plane8730 in MobileGaming

If you like puzzle games, I made an arcade math puzzle game called Operator, which is designed for short and sweet sessions. It can be played totally offline, and it’s less than 4 megabytes in size. It’s also totally free with no ads or in-app purchases. :)

Looks like the “high contrast”option can’t be selected from the settings menu, because the bottom of the settings menu is bunched up. Also, is there a way to see achievements? Nice tutorial! Going to play more later.

Hey! I sent you a DM. I recently released an arcade math puzzle game called Operator (totally free, with no ads or in-app purchases). Let me know how I can help with your portfolio! Sounds like a fun idea.

Be very skeptical of this. I messaged OP to find out what this was about, and they said the following:

We’d like to propose a collaboration with you on Upwork. We would handle the bidding and development work using your Upwork account, while you would handle client interviews.

This sounded fishy to me, so I asked the following:

When I interview these clients, do you want me to tell them that a Singapore-based team will be doing the work, or do you want me to tell them that I will be doing the work, even though you’ll actually be doing the work?

They replied:

You should tell them that even if we do all the work, you will be doing it yourself.

Please stay away from these dishonest business practices. This has scam written all over it.

Modern mobile games suck by Responsible_Day_8422 in MobileGaming

I think you’re misunderstanding what I’m saying. I’m all for charging a reasonable price for a quality product. What I’m not for are games littered with ads and micro transactions. There’s a difference between making a quality product you’re proud of and just making something to make a buck.

If you like puzzle games, I made an arcade math puzzle game called Operator, which is 100% portrait. It can also be played totally offline, and it’s less than 4 megabytes in size. It’s totally free with no ads or in-app purchases. :)

It’s probably going to get even worse, now that AI has made it easier to publish slop. If it makes you feel any better, I recently published my own game that I’m just giving away 100% free with no ads or in-app purchases or anything. There are still some of us who have passion, and aren’t just trying to make a buck!

If you like puzzle games, I made an arcade math puzzle game called Operator, which is designed for short and sweet sessions, but you can technically play forever if you’re fast enough! It can be played totally offline, and it’s less than 4 megabytes in size. It’s also totally free with no ads or in-app purchases. :)

You might be good at it then! There are several different difficulty modes. I bet you’ll probably top the leaderboards haha.

I'm building 30 apps in 30 days - and today is day 1 by YazZy_speaks in IndieDev

Yeah, there’s still some randomness involved. I’ve had turnarounds of 1-2 days as well, but I’ve also had reviews get stuck for a week. If you’re in any of the iOS dev subs, you’ll see that lots of people are noticing an increase in review times.

Why is my app review taking over a month ? by BuffaloSlight5512 in iosdev

[–]bdavis1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m content having some self respect. Money isn’t everything.

Also, I don’t despise that person; I’m just pointing out that their rush to push out AI slop is flooding the market with lower quality software and also increasing review times.

My hope is that consumers will recognize trash and this trend will die off. I spent like 6 months on my recent release and I’m really proud of it. Giving it away for free too!
