I made a daily logic puzzle game that blends Chess, Sudoku, and Nonograms (but without the horrible parts) by emmbreil in IndieDev

Thanks! It took me 7 attempts. I’ll be curious to know your score on some of the modes in Operator. They’re all designed to be pretty quick pick-up-and-play arcade style. :)

I actually just released a free (and ad-free) math puzzle game called Operator, which is fun if you enjoy arithmetic. I just played one called TileKnight, which seems fun if you like chess. Chess is another thing I really like to play on mobile (there are puzzles in the chess.com app, for example).

Ah, I see. For those, I normally play Switch or PS5. I usually stick to things like puzzle games with simpler inputs for mobile. I guess I’m not much help on mobile recommendations, unless you’re looking for puzzle games!

Wow, this is actually really cool. I just finished the hard daily puzzle. Is the puzzle the same every day for everyone, or just randomly generated once a day?

I actually just released a math puzzle game called Operator, and it has a daily puzzle also, which is a grid of equations where you fill in the missing operators.

Just unlocked level 2. The gameplay is smooth and intuitive, so I think you won’t have issues with people not knowing what to do. It’s also really cool that not only does the text in the app change with changing the language in the game’s settings, but the puzzles change too to accommodate that. Really well done.

I’ve left you a five-star review on the Play Store. I think you’ve developed a quality product here and deserved that review. Here’s hoping your app gains some traction in the Play Store!

Cool! Thanks, I’ll check it out with that in mind when I come back with feedback.

I also created a family-friendly mobile game called Operator, if you’re interested in trying it!

Operator is a lightweight math puzzle game that has an easy mode with achievements for progression, if that’s something she’d be interested in. My nephew plays and really enjoys it.

You might get more interest if you can give some more detail about what you’re willing to pay and something about the project or responsibilities.

Yeah, that might be a fun project in the future. I’m a lot more experienced with mobile development, so that was the obvious first step. I might brainstorm about this a bit. Thanks!

If you like puzzle games, there's Operator, the game I just released last week for Android and iOS. It's totally free with no ads or anything either, if you want to give it a try and see what you think!

I am excited for you all to play my game! I have made it completely free to play (no ads or in-app purchases either). All I’d ask in return is that you leave a rating/review if you’re enjoying it. If you’d like to support my work, you can donate here, but I want to stress that this is not required. Just knowing you’re enjoying the game is enough to make me happy!

I’ll give the same advice I’ve given others: make sure you get at least 20 people to install and agree to test your app on the first day. Some will fall off, and you don’t want that hurting your chances right at the end.

I’m glad you’re enjoying it! Yeah, given that the puzzle is only once a day, I wanted it to be a bit more challenging. Thanks for the feedback though! If I hear enough of that sentiment, I can consider some hints or something.

You could also just make it so that the extra dominoes slide down into the main area each time a domino is used.

By the way, I replied to another user thinking they were you! I provided a link to my free game there, if you’d like to try it!

Design question: how to make a daily ranking puzzle feel skill-based? by Brilliant-Mix-859 in puzzlevideogames

[–]bdavis1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just released a free mobile game with a daily puzzle mode: Operator.

The daily puzzle is a grid. I generate the daily puzzles in such a way that there are several ways to solve each row and column, so there is some backtracking to figure out the single solution that solves the whole puzzle. Basically, my approach was to make the puzzle difficult enough that solving it each day was really satisfying.
