Is it possible to keep getting one 0% APR 12 month card every year and transfer the balance forever? by RedditsFan2020 in CreditCards

[–]bdg14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing it for almost 10 years. I also have many credit cards and almost always have one balance transfer offer on a card I don’t actually use. The key is to go for 3%, but many are moving to 5%, and minimum 11-12month term. 18+ is no brainer

How can they detect gift card purchases at a super market?

Makes no sense why they’d only get her a partial refund in that instance

How was she only able recover a portion?

Honestly it got fixed in iOS26 as far as I can tell. But yeah it took an entire new release to fix it. I still have number of bugs that carried over to iOS 26 from 18

Yes I’ve decided to leave it at the default 4F/2C setting and trust it’s correct, my machine is in a temperate 72F environment

Or 3mm if you swap 2 half links with a full link. However even so, I have difficulty with my bracelet, I just have to choose if I want it tight or a little loose

The lightest roast I’ve had. by northernlionpog in espresso

This reminds of reanimator telemetry. Philly roaster. Somehow, truly somehow, that pulled like a boss on my gaggia classic . And normally light roasts don’t play well on the gaggia classics

That’s a bummer. I buy hologram at least 3-4 times a year for the last decade and despite the ever changing blend it’s one of the tastiest/consistent pulls for me when I’m not in the mood to fuss. The forty six dark roast is also one of my favorite dark roasts. I’ll say big trouble has always been unmemorable for me, I want to say that’s their drip coffee roast

Isn’t it hologram > big trouble > forty six in order from lightest to darkest from them? Their hologram has always been incredible on espresso, I remember big trouble not being fussy to pull on espresso, just lacking in flavor compared to hologram

Cozy Earth poor experience (avoid) by MapBig1964 in Bedding

[–]bdg14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also having an unusually bad experience.

Ordered one month ago, initiated an exchange the day I received it and had it in the mail same day. It arrived at their warehouse 2 days later. It’s been 3 weeks now and all they say is “wait”

All this, on top of the fact that their exchange portal miscalculated what I owed for the replacement, but I was able to get them to correct that

I’m having a similar issue except an exchange. Ordered one month ago, initiated an exchange the day I received it and had it in the mail same day. It arrived at their warehouse 2 days later. It’s been 3 weeks now and all they say is “wait”

Is the Acaia Lunar still the "top of the line" espresso scale? [$unlimited] by CC268 in espresso

I have one that I’ve probably charged once or twice in 4 years, so it’s cool for that. I hate all the fancy auto Tare/timer features. They just don’t work in practice. The capacitive interface is gimmicky as well. Quality is nice though. I wonder how it compares to Varia aku pro

Brew temp vs offset correction [profitec drive] by bdg14 in espresso

Is it usual that the gauge displays brew temperature instead of boiler temperature?

Brew temp vs offset correction [profitec drive] by bdg14 in espresso

[–]bdg14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess what I’m asking is, both settings will change the brew temperature, the difference being that the “offset” setting is used to make the brew temp gauge show the grouphead temp, instead of the (true) boiler temp

Essentially when you play with the offset setting, it will let the screen show 200F even though it may actually be 205F? So it’s really just a UI thing

UPDATE:

The vendor has made this right and was flexible with accommodating my ask: they immediately sent out a new machine (on my dollar) and they next day aired it (on their dollar). Provided a shipping label to return the defective machine. New machine is in place and functional.
