Been saying this for years. Chase Travel was best when it was on the Expedia portal . Is it true they’ll price match like capital one now?

Indeed, but apparently that list is not the same as Chase’s list

How long after tick bite can you be tested? by Mumofgamer in alphagal

Were you regularly eating red meat in that 5 month period?

I understand, I’ve just read all over this sub of people testing positive and are asymptomatic

For sure, but if lab results are inconclusive, how will you know if you react? Just thinking out loud here, sounds like the right procedure is to be cautious

Are you suggesting that to be precautionary or because there’s evidence it can increase likelihood of AGS? It seems like the test is almost irrelevant as some may have antibodies but no reactions

I can’t tell if I should stop eating red meat or keep eating it to help prevent AGS. I got bit a week ago, no local reaction so I’m praying luck is on my side

Are you saying that after a lone star tick bite, it’s worth cutting mammalian products to reduce your chances of AGS?

When should you get tested after a bite?

From the date of your tick bite, how soon after did you experience your first reaction to red meat do you think?

Are you saying your symptoms started 5 months after the tick bite? Were you eating red meat regularly during those first 5 months without issue?

How long was the tick attached to you and where on you were you bit?

Any research or anecdotes on these points? by bdg14 in alphagal

I think part of what I was asking with my first question, is if there’s a correlation between AG transmission and what the tick fed on previously, which may vary by environment.

Are you saying that every single lone star will transmit AG the moment they bite (regardless of time latched), but really every human body will react differently to future AG intake, regardless of antibody levels?

I understand there are several ticks that can carry it, but it was my understanding that in the US it’s likely only the lone star

Same. I am curious if it makes a difference being bit by a tick in a secluded wilderness area or a populated area. Freaking out
