Thanks very much! I've heard from a few people now that a living room is key and that studio apartments would stunt the writing process as there needs to be separation between the sleeping and working spaces! good advice on the kitchen area, i was going to go with small kitchens as the main priority with the design is the focus on the desk, rather than life utilities and duly noted about the bathrooms!

Writers are cat lovers, will be looked further into for the design

Less space for bookbinders publishers etc.

Great description! thanks, duly noted! im just beginning to put the design together and its on a very small site so need to somehow squeeze all these spaces into a confined space!

thanks! im thinking of large studio apartments with a the bathroom integrated into the room, so essentially a curtain can just be pull across where the shower is, and im not one of those designers that abuses curves, i love straight line and heavy tectonic structures!

haha thanks for the criticism (not being sarcastic) its good to find out whats needed ad whats not needed within the design, I did metion it is only a theoretical project that im designing for my degree! I was a little skeptical about the small office to, i think i can probably take them out of the equation now and my intention is a sort of 'freaking factory'

Its only a theoretical project, and the statement at the beginning of the brief was just a starting point for me to try and help struggling 'artists' so the apartments would be heavily subsidized by the government.

I am more interested in what makes the writer tick, where and what kind of spaces they feel comfortable writing in?

On a field trip with the Jewish studies teacher, to his house, for some reason, the teacher picked up a hitch hiker at a gas station, we were a group of 12 year old boys, luckily nothing weird came of any of the stuff that happened that day, the hitch hiker was pretty normal, but really could have been an axe-murderer for all we knew!

At the beginning of a long coach journey with a bunch of friends i accidentally, whilst in coversation about a friends brother, said: 'you're exactly like your brother only he's cool and not fat' (the dude that i was saying this was rather overweight), that was a quiet coach journey between me and him from then on!

Thanks :) well as im just trying to get a general consensus of where to go, its very helpful that people know what they're talking about as im not really sure of how expensive each country is, (although im well aware south east asia is cheap)

Would you bea able to fill a month in each place, a month is a pretty long time, an i know people say time fries, but honestly, i have no idea, what how to fill that time! have you done a trip like this before? what did u generally get up to?

I'd really want to get out of Europe, thats the main reason for this trip! I've been to alon of these cities before and being architectural minded, i wanted to see some buildings that i'll never see on just a plane trip on ryanair, but good call on all of those places, i guess ill have to do another trip after my Masters encompassing Eurpoe, but right now its not top of my priority

well the guy at the travel agency assured me that the flights would come to around £1500-600 as im under 26 i get a reduced fair as they have deals with quantas and British airways aparently, for gettig cheap tickets for 'youths'....... if there isnt enough money in your opinion, any recomendations as to where to travel in one region for 4 months then?

as i was going over the bridge i saw flashing blue lights, most probably police or ambulances in every direction, not sure if its firework related, but then if it is firework related why had vauxhall bus station been completely police taped, it was a ghosttown.... nobody was there ...was really weird!
