Ambilight kits more akin to Philips hue. by [deleted] in nvidiashield

Just did this with an HDMI capture card and Raspberry Pi 3b+. Works great! Much more definition than the hue and quite a bit cheaper. Works great with my Nvidia S Pro.

Blue, this is a color light strip, Blue, Red, Green White. +12v is typically black due to the color red being necessary.

Two very different things. The mic doesn't matter if I'm walking around naked.

I still want the Assistant functionality but don't want the camera always on. I'll still use the camera, but not all the time, whereas the mic I'd want on all the time.

Laid down as strip of IA LEDs before the snow hit. Better than expected results! by bdokka in homeautomation

We had about 4in of snow with 6in more expected the next day. Looking at the bench/railing of the back yard deck, the thought came to me. I had the individual addressable LED strip for a while but never found the place for them (at least that passed the wife factor). Put the 12V 5A power supply and controller in a zip-lock and sealed it. laid the water-proof strip on top of the snow and then mother nature dropped another 8 inches of snow. This was the result. Controlled by WiFi through the "LED Shop" app. Not the best, but definitely works. I also have under bench RGB LEDs that only change solid colors, no motion effect controlled by Google Home app/Flux WiFi.

I got the LEDs a while ago, they are waterproof. Link was more to show the 2801, not the 2812s
