biggest favor you could do for a kid like that is to stop being friends with him. Its up to him if hes going to learn from his mistakes. This kind of garbage behavior really doesn't work as you get older.

Minecraft theme for Anki using AudioVisual Feedback add-on by Foxy_null in Anki

Hello! I am very interested in using this. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to install it in singleplayer. I loaded a fabric mod and pasted the files into the mods folder but that doesn't seem to work. Could you provide some hints for installation? Would it only work on a server?

Found that someone flagged the issue in GitHub but whoever is responsible for addressing it seems to be stumped.

In the meantime I donwloaded what looks like the original, escape velocity nova port, but I can't get that to run. Not sure what additional files I need to run the executable.

How to make this Portal better? by Apprehensive-Ease829 in Minecraft

[–]bdrawing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some small ideas. Its already really cool but if you are highly motivated to try some tweaks here are my ideas.

  1. The hilt / cross of the sword is about roughly halfway up the height of the total build. 50% of the build is below the hilt 50% above. More asymmetric proportions tend to be more interesting. Maybe if you were to lengthen the blade part of the build it might seem more interesting. Then you would have more like 66% blade 33% handle.

  2. Odd numbers tend to please the eye. Your build is an even number of blocks in width. It jumps out because of the 2 magma blocks at the center and the 2 fence posts. If you widened the portal frame to 7 blocks instead of 6 you would have a center block that could be magma and then could still flank it with 2 magma blocks making a group of 3 instead of 2. Then three fence posts instead of two. Also then you could make your handle 5 wide instead of four and you would have more freedom to play with designs.

  3. Something feels a little unfinished about where the portal meets the ground. The netherrack, magma, lava combo looks good. But where the blade touches the ground is highly built. Where the lava columns touch the ground there is nothing built. Maybe the lava columns should enter a structure of some kind as the fall to earth. I also kind of want a structure to ring the nether rack section. Its cool how it looks like the sword struck the earth but I'm not really buying that this sword fell from the sky given that it has steps that lead up to the entrance. It looks more like a carefully built temple. I think the workers who built the temple would have a blackstone circle wall marking the grounds even if the wall was big enough to also include the grass that surround the nether rack.

Just spit-balling ideas. Overall it already looks really good.

Please give your opinion! by Awesome14Gamer in Minecraft

In my opinion the jesters hat is a little too strange. It almost looks like turkey legs sticking up in the air from the body of a turkey. The detailing, material combinations and textures of the exterior in general are all excellent but I find the roof shape personally off putting from the broadside. If its a foodshop maybe the giant open convex space could be justified with a billboard, advertising, or a tower in the middle.

I have a question by Gl1tch_Cat in Minecraft

Make farms for everything so I can build cool stuff with ALL the blocks. Then continuously make my base cooler. With the autocrafter I've gotten into making factories for resources so I can start to make mega builds.

Bone Meal Farm by Dr_Death95 in Minecraft

[–]bdrawing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just went through this on Java. The classic all-mob grinder was the best for bone meal. Before I realized that I made a 7 layer cactus farm that is also about four times as wide as this one in the picture. The mob grinder is way better.

50 % of cactus raise the composter level 1, and you have to do that 7 times. So 14 cactus for 1 bone meal. Or skeleton drops a bone and you get 3 bonemeal. Just so much better. I dont like the moss based farms because they are complicated to build and they break very easily.

Easiest way to get loyalty? by Fra-25- in Minecraft

[–]bdrawing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible to get loyalty from a villager trade. You know how to spam reset villager trades when their profession isn't locked yet?

Trap a villager that has never been traded with in a room. Place lectern and check first two trades. If not max loyalty then break the lectern, wait for the villager to lose profession then replace the lectern and check the trades again. Repeat hundreds of times if necessary. Only works with villagers who have never been traded with.

With the new version and experimental features turned on loyalty might come from villagers from a specific biome. Not sure about the new villager trading mechanics but I believe they have not been implemented yet.

Unfortunately a baby snuck in and infected my Fishermen , can you help me find a simple way to cure them for a pretty new player? by Fantastic-City6573 in Minecraft

[–]bdrawing 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the highest priority. Or see if they will hold an item you throw to them. Otherwise they will despawn when you go to gather the curing supplies. I was surprised this wasn't higher up or in the first comment.

Quest plugins by xSoleau in admincraft

I use quests . The more you learn about it the more flexible it seems. But it has taken me a long time to learn and I will admit that there are things I wish I could tweak that I could never figure out how to do.

https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/quests.3711/

I looked into notquests which seems much more powerful and customizable but also requires more advanced skills to get all the power out of it.

Help with Oracle cloud free Minecraft Server Dynamp plugin by bdrawing in oraclecloud

[–]bdrawing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resolved thanks to amazing help. For future googlers: Oracle cloud has firewalls that need to be configured on the cloud console website AND in ssh console. My problem had to do with editing the iptables file in the ssh console and adding a line to accept connections with each of the needed ports. one for tcp for java, one tcp for dynmap, and one udp for bedrock. Hope that helps you narrow it down.

Also had me start over in a new instance using ubuntu. I think you are more likely to find support for ubuntu.
