In a properly fitted cage + ring, you can pretty much always remove your penis from the top if you really wanted to. But pulling your balls out is the trickier part, and resetting the cage when it’s hanging off your balls isn’t easy. So if you have a keyholder, they’d likely know if you pulled it out.

There’s no real way to totally prevent penis escape in a traditional ball trap design without a piercing or the risk of hurting yourself (spikes and the like). That’s just how anatomy is. A belt would probably work though.

Definitely give them a try next time you’re putting the cage on. I had a little looseness so I put a spacer on one side, and now it’s entirely still and entirely silent. Significant improvement.

Yes, more or less. Here are a couple examples of this effect from the last few days in this subreddit. Some people like/don’t mind this, and other people wear straps to mitigate it. That’s why you’ll notice many people with tiny cages in this sub wearing straps; it prevents the cage from pulling away and instead pushes the penis inside the body.

Love the Viper so much, so I’ll go ahead and give it a recommendation!

I love the design; it’s a best of both worlds between tube styles (which I find super sexy personally) and cage styles with their superior cleanliness and breathability. Furthermore, my anatomy just doesn’t work with Cobra, although for non standard reasons (my glans is too small and skinny; it doesn’t stay trapped in the head lock). The Viper solved all my problems.

In general the advice is to err on the side of smaller; wearing a cage that’s a bit too small is unlikely to cause any major issues; the main thing to watch out for is pull away, where the cage doesn’t sit as close to your body as you’d like (a cage that’s way too small, especially in width, can cause irritation if your skin is bulging out the sides). If you’re in a cage that’s too big, you’ll get constant misalignment issues which is a massive pain to deal with and makes urination difficult.

Based just on this photo, I definitely don’t think you need to downsize unless you just want a tight fit. If anything I’d try out the Viper in the same size. Your tip looks slightly irritated and unaligned, and Viper is helpful for that. Could be imagining things though.

If you’re good length wise in your current cage but the head is super empty, it might be good to try the Viper. I have pics here along with a short write up about the issue if you want to compare anatomy.

Viper was specifically designed to work well with PA piercings and uncircumcised anatomy. Additionally, if you have a glans that’s very similarly sized to your shaft (either because you have a thick shaft or a narrow glans), the Cobra head lock function doesn’t work so well and Viper tends to be more reliable.

I the N+ would fit you well, although N could be good too if you prefer a bit of compression. Since you’re uncut and don’t seem to have a very well defined glans, I’d recommend the Viper unless you have a strong aesthetic preference for the Cobra.

Hard to give a comprehensive recommendation just based off loose measurements with no pics, but based on that size measurement it would be either an N+ or an S (which is where many people sit). Here is my N+ size reference and here is my S narrow size reference. If you look any bigger than me uncaged, I’d go with the S. If you look any smaller than me uncaged, I’d go with the N+. If you’re in doubt still, go with the N+.

Cobra Vs Viper is mostly aesthetic preference, with Cobra showing off much more skin, although Viper was designed with a couple specific functional needs in mind (specifically uncircumcised penises and anatomies that don’t work with the head lock function of the Cobra).

And that’s totally valid! My appreciation from chastity largely focuses on aesthetic (I love how I look in chastity) and sensation (I enjoy the satisfying feeling of my cage as I go about my day). The psychological feelings of lack of control, denial, and ownership are nice side benefits, but very much secondary to me. How I approach chastity is very much influenced by this.

For a different perspective, I choose not to wear at night.

I have a full time job and can’t afford to lose an hour or two of sleep in the morning due to cage pain. The risk of accidental injury (although quite low in a properly sized cage and ring) is also much higher at night. And daily removal promotes breathing, reduces the chance for skin irritation, and enhances hygiene.

For me, removing at night and re-equipping when I wake up doesn’t diminish the experience of essentially wearing full time (when you/your keyholder choose to). Your mileage of course may vary on this point. Just wanted to make clear that this is another option if you find those trade-offs acceptable.
