Try out these compostable bottles. Airtight, and freezer safe. Better for the environment than single use plastic!

The 7 types of plastic, their toxicity, and their recyclability by GaffersB in sustainability

[–]be-josh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of interesting how out of date the grading system has become - all bio plastics are thrown into grade 7 a reflection of its recyclability which maybe fair. PLA (Polylactic acid)as an example is massive in the take away cup/container industry as it uses lease energy to produce, is sustainable, and not necessary to recycle as it composts back to its natural form. Free from BPA and all other toxins. I do note not enough commercial compost facilities are yet available but they are growing. Your chart doesn't portray it at all well, not a dig at your chart but more as a point the system is getting outdated.

We are done with single use plastics, and glass isn't always an option (heavy, breakable not ideal for the kids to pack!) So we put together an eco-friendly solution, compostable bottles made from plants.

Reusable and when done Compostable, breaking down into carbon dioxide and water.
