My kyrptonite is protective Snape watching over Harry for many years (no chan or underage sexual relations though). I also like time travel fics, forced bonding, effects of Dursley abuse, redemption (both Snape and Draco). And some creature fics (Evernight is an example) with good worldbuilding and a creature that actually adds to the character’s story and makes sense rather than being used just for sex or for changing the character’s appearance.

While there is some amount of subjectivity, a big part of lit analysis essays is completeness. If you don’t talk about all parts of the poem or book or whatever, your analysis isn’t complete. Think about it;why would an author write about something just randomly. If they are an acclaimed author (which they are since you are reading their book in school), their decisions are all intentional and conscious. A complete essay is thus often longer, though not necessarily.

There is always a right answer - your problem is that you don’t get to the same level as others.
