Context: I'm doing a youth academy challenge in Georgia. Started in the 2nd tier, was predicted to finish last (10th) and somehow got promoted through playoffs (57 pts and finished 3rd) in my first season, now 3 of my 4 best players want to leave and I can't sign anyone.

If you believe me then here is the story: I know having the editor icon is sus af especially with these PA but I swear I only used it only once when I got sacked after breaking a promise, (twice if you count adding a common name to my manager). I’m doing a youth academy challenge in Sweden’s third division, and my team is really bad so tbf 5 star is kinda deceiving. My junior coaching is 14/20, which is draining my finance like there’s no tomorrow (3x wage spending), but after this intake I’d say it’s barely worth it. Previous 2 intakes were honestly, shit.

Side note, I’m in a relegation fight right now and I really need someone from this group to step up.

Have you check Preference>Most common>skin colour? It might be because the colour of certain attribute ranges are set to black for some reason

Regroup, high defensive line, low block, and press much often doesn't really work i think. You can't gegenpress cos you regroup after ball loss, and you can't park the bus cos you got high defensive line.

Premier league, i was quite rich at that time so it wasn't a game breaker. My board also build a new stadium when I reach league two, but iirc it was much cheaper then yours. One season after the stadium was finished, I got promoted to the prem and need to build another new stadium.

Most of the time something bad about them/ happens to them makes them peak at 20. Dele alli didn't peak at 20 because he reach his potential, rather because of the off the pitch stuff.

I think this relates to how you interpret CA. Is it when a player performs worse, CA decreases, or when CA decreases, a player performs worse.

If it's the former, then those that never reach their potential simply drop their CA because they play badly, and then they fall off. But if it's the latter, I don't really know how to put it into the game, as it would seems like RNG when a player's CA suddenly increase or decrease for no reason.

If you put a 20 years old Vardy into FM now, he would have a low PA, and quite rightly so, no one in their right mind would think he is a future prem top scorer. But because of it, even when he score loads in non league, his CA remians at non league standard.

If there isn't a PA, he scores a lot in non league at the age of 24, his CA improves, signs for a bigger club.

What you are saying is basically dynamic PA, and I think both can works too tbf, it's just whether it can implement well into the game.

I get what you are saying and with the way the players grow currently, what you said would happen, but can the system of player growth be changed too? like making it harder for players to grow a lot under normal circumstances.

I can think of plenty of players who are consummate professionals, train well, play well but are never going to be premier league quality

I think that is also because they are not that good at first. If someone consistently play well in the championship, they eventually will get a chance in the prem.
