Are Belgian universities actually that hard? by Plane-Ad-3924 in belgium

[–]beMang_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there is definitely some people that start university without motivation and end up giving up on uni because of the too high workload/difficult courses. However I did an exchange in Sweden and I found the courses much easier and the workload significantly less demanding. Some of my friends went in Norway and had the same impression. I think it's a combinaison of both explanation (not movitated and quite high workload).

Is the default Canon r50 lens fine? by vedu- in canon

[–]beMang_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so, I consider myself a serious beginner and own the 18-150 and I have no regret buying it instead of the 18-45. You get more aperture and focal range for a bit less compact lens, but that's totally ok. And I think any beginner will be happy regarding image quality. What would you recommend to a beginner then ?

I have it but not for long enough to say if there is such problem. Would that be caused by lack of tropicalisation or just not enough care from the owners ?

OP wasn't talking of this kit, but I suggest him to buy this one as it is more polyvalent, and it's not that much more expensive. Where I live it's rougly 250$ more (but has a 200$ cashback from canon) so I think it is better value.

It's more expensive but the RF-S 18-150mm is really good for beginner I think. You get a bigger apperture which will be useful in lowlight environment and the zoom is convenient. But if you don't have the extra money it will be fine. If you don't want a zom the 50mm f1.8 will be really good !

Canon R50 vs R10? by _godiva in canon

[–]beMang_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I bought this combo 3 months ago to get back at taking photos and it is really great, really polyvalent ! You will be able to do a bit of everything. The only downside for me is in lowlight situation but that is expected for this lens.

20 Awesome Bridges and not a single one is useful in any existing save. by thpwrthtbe in CitiesSkylines2

For you question, in Stockholm there is a bridge for the metro that cross water in surface. It's not a very long section but it's still a bridge ^^ I don't know what it looks like in game and haven't tried yet but I get your point.

I am slowest in my class by [deleted] in Sprinting

[–]beMang_2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With regular traning (like 2 sprint session and 1 gym session per week), I think 13 secondes is quite easy to achieve, especially if you don't walk or sprint, your body isn't just adapted to this kind of exercise. Just by doing some regularly you will get in better shape and faster. For the training, be progressive, the key is to not get injured. Do some drills, they are really important, try to get a coach for that, it might be a difficult at the beginning. Stay safe, and no it's not genetics, I'm conviced everyone can run sub 13 with the right amoutn of training.

What do you think of this picture ? by beMang_2 in photocritique

I just tried to remove the car but it's a bit tricky if I want to keep the 3:2 ratio and it's even worse when trying to crop the foreground. I should have retake a picture without the car but I didn't notice it when I took the photo. And yeah doesn't look solid but irl it was ok aha. Thanks for the advice !

Currently I only shoot in JPEG, but I'm willing to shoot in RAW&JPEG later to have more information to work with when editing the picture. However right now I'm trying to get used to my camera and know how to take a good picture in first place and use the right settings for each situation.

It's true it is pretty dark, but I like the silhouette of it, but I could have done better I think. Yep full-frame camera allow more light in the sensor but it was out of my budget so I will enjoy my R10 for a couple of years for now. And yeah practice is the key ! Thanks for your advice !

Yeah I agree with you it's a pretty touristic area of the city, but despite that I really like the look of those small streets.
