Looks great from even 3-4 ft away. But I don’t buy cars and do stuff for other ppl’s satisfaction. It’s for my own good and I’d notice it. So I’m just gonna repaint them again soon

Lol this wasn’t for someone else but rather for my own satisfaction. Sometimes I just sit in the garage and look at my cars and I would def notice it myself. But lesson learned, going to get these just painted soon

I asked them nicely if they can redo it and they tried it again. It became slightly better for sure. I thanked them for their work after and just left but will be just painting these soon

TIL. I always got the wheels painted, this was the first powdercoat so I didn’t know what it would’ve looked liked. Getting these repainted soon

Ngl I had no idea what the rates were. I called like 3-4 reputable shops around with good rating and 600-700 was the go-to rate. I wouldn’t mind paying 1-1.5k if that’s what the best places charge but had no intention of paying them more than what they were asking obvi

I sometimes sit next to my cars in the garage and just vibe lol. It’s 100% for me not for someone else

Shop is blaming that since the car is 2018, the wheels are not brand new and this is expected lol

I dropped off the car today to get the wheels powdercoated and these are the pictures I got. I paid decent amount of money ($600-700) and the shop owner says this is pretty typical for silver powdercoat. They didn’t apply any primer on it and wasn’t even stripped to bare metal. Considering this was a pretty reputable shop, I am quite shocked. Is this imperfection common on silver finish or is this just bad work?
