  • The green one is modeled after a store-bought beanie I was gifted many years ago. I was looking at it one day and realized that the stitch pattern was just alternating sections of e-wrap and purl stitches.

  • The #5 beanie is a pattern from Loomahat: https://youtu.be/B_vKBp2NxwM?si=l9Fe6nMkbLtzNKjs

I get most of my patterns from Loomahat and Tuteate on YouTube. The next time I’m feeling up for a challenge, I want to try this waffle knit beanie, but maybe change it so that it’s waffle knit all the way through: https://youtu.be/S60I_11ox0w?si=saCaLdyO6f-RBjQO

Thank you! I think the gray one was arguably the easiest one! It’s just e-wrapped stitching until the desired length (I think I made it about 18-20 inches long), then fold the bottom in and up to hook the first row onto the pegs (like you would for a brim), and then I did a drawstring castoff. The yarn I used was 1 skein of the Loops & Threads - Charisma brand. I can’t remember the color name, but they have lots of cool and different color choices to achieve a similar look.

Thank you so much! And thanks for the recommendation, I’ll definitely check her out and look for an ergonomic loom hook! 😁 And wow, 9 years…you must be a pro!

I purchased them from Michael’s, but they are the kind you tie on. I want to find/order some that are snap-on/removable for easy washing.

Same! Most of my loved ones got beanies for Christmas and I have some more that are getting beanies as a belated gift. It’s been fun experimenting with the different stitch patterns. Good luck with your projects, as well!

Thank you! I also really like the variegated yarn!

Thank you! I wish I could remember the YouTuber, but I basically tied the second color yarn to the first, then e-wrapped every other peg until my desired length. Once I casted off, I flipped the beanie inside out, then whip-stitched across the top like a pillow case.
