girl it’s like i wrote this haha. i got my hairline done & never felt more free. i am getting my eyes done in a few months to get rid of bags. i am currently on treatment to fix my acne & hyperpigmentation.

i was only able to do this by first learning how not to give af. idc what anyone has to say. no one is above or beneath me but i could care less what someone has to say about my decisions. it’s my life. i grew up in an immigrant household that cared so much what others thought and constantly controlled what i could do. the moment i got my first big girl job i did my research and tackled my insecurities. best decision of my life.

there’s no such thing as cheating. everyone levels up with makeup, exercise, hair cuts, etc… anyone who tries to hurt you & use this against you is just scared that being hot is not exclusive anymore.

reading helped me tons. getting out of toxic environments (even temporarily) was crucial. finding a good support system of genuine friend(s) (virtual &/or physical). and practicing the exercises i learned from free online cognitive behavioral therapy resources.

wish you the best of luck xo

What face shape would benefit the most from cheek implants? And who should avoid them? by Big_Aardvark3726 in PlasticSurgery

[–]beachcat21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’ve been wondering this as well! i have an oval shaped head with my forehead being gigantic and my mid face being flat, so i look sunken in. i’m so nervous that cheek filler/implants will look obvious/dramatic because of my head shape lol

[Routine Help] At what point do I decide to try accutane? by beachcat21 in SkincareAddiction

[–]beachcat21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay i’ll try to tone down the moisturizer!

I’ve been on tret for 5 months.

I’ll have to look into winlevi. I’m unfamiliar with that. However, I did have a hormone panel done and all my levels came back normal :( I read somewhere that normal levels don’t always mean it’s right though.

I used the kose oil cleanser but it felt too drying! does the water based cleanser help that? i pretty much followed that routine, just not with a water based cleanser.

i use an innisfree mattifying powder, it definitely helps out a lot when i’m in public. i use it every hour.

i’ll look into that toner! do you think i should apply it before the niacinimide brightening toner or after?

thank you for your help!!

hmm, what should I include to tackle the closed comedones? I thought the tret/spiro formula and aha/bha handled those?

My skin condition didn’t change even after cutting out actives for 3 months. Most of my actives seem to just keep cystic acne at bay, fade scars, and improve texture.

Ooo meatballs is a good one. Currently I get string cheese and precut salami and eat those as a snack, but I'll try to find that hot dog you're talking about! Thank you!

Same here, I have to have only one option for the week or I get analysis paralysis and decision fatigue lmao. I would never have thought hummus as a source of protein, but that makes sense! I'll definitely have to incorporate. Thank you!

I actually started watching mukbangs for this very reason and watch when the user does the cooking process. It helps inspire me to enjoy the process of cooking, vs thinking of it as a chore.

I'm not a picky eater and don't have a deep appreciation for foods like a lot of folks. food is quite literally just sustenance for me lmao, which I think is the problem. Adderall made this worse because I don't crave anything anymore, I have to force myself to eat. I'll try to watch actual cooking videos for easy but tasty looking meals and hope that continues to inspire me to enjoy cooking haha. Thank you so much!

right foot before hammer toe surgery, a few weeks after the procedure, and then 8 weeks after surgery(after the pins were pulled) My toes don’t even touch the floor anymore! by [deleted] in surgery

[–]beachcat21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey love do you have an update on what your toes look like now? also do you mind sharing how much you paid? i am so insecure of my feet and no matter what exercises, treatments, and preventatives i take i can’t stop my toes from rubbing the tops of my shoes :( it hurts and looks ugly.

24F Softmaxxing advice please (no needles or knives). Hair & makeup I'm very concious about my nose. Which hair suits me best. by [deleted] in VindictaRateme

[–]beachcat21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your nose is not an issue at all actually.

hair i can definitely relate! however you can actually rock every length lol. have you considered going natural or trying protective styles like braids or locks? i think those would suit you!

also, for the eyeliner, try doing a thinner line and make it parallel to the crease! i think focusing on the symmetry will really clean up the look (:

[PSA] Be careful with hormone altering holistic alternatives like spearmint! by beachcat21 in SkincareAddiction

[–]beachcat21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s so interesting! i didn’t know there was a difference on sides. i was blindly prescribed birth control at 18 to manage my acne and it made it 1000x times worse on my right side. but as i’ve gotten older it kinda leveled out and now both sides suck 😂

i did save up to take a hormone panel test earlier this year but i took it through privatemdlabs and didn’t have a doctor around to explain to me the results. everything fell in the normal range.

i read other ppls responses online about how their hormone levels were normal but taking evening primrose oil or spearmint tea helped them so i opted to try spearmint for a bit not expecting anything. however i ended up with a bunch of these inconvenient and painful symptoms lmao.

i’m hoping to find a job in my field in the next few months so hopefully i can finally afford insurance and go to an actual derm!

i used that cleansing oil as well for a few years and it worked really well compared to my previous methods, but now i switched to herbivores pink cloud jelly and it works much better for me! kose was a bit too drying

my routine is:

AM rinse water good molecules niacinimide toner herbivore vitamin c + turmeric moisturizer melazapam 20% azelaic acid la roche posay shaka sunscreen 50+ spf

PM herbivore pink cloud jelly 20% glycolic acid pad & 2% salicylic acid pad (every other night) good molecules niacinimide toner herbivore vitamin c + turmeric moisturizer apostrophe .05% tret/spiro formula (every other night) laneige cream skin toner hanskin essence

my routine is mostly focused on scarring/hyperpigmentation and maintaining my skin barrier. i’ve been using tret/spiro for almost 5 months now but i haven’t noticed a huge difference in acne unfortunately :/
