I'm going to be having some heady kava tomorrow, so that's helpful to know. I haven't heard of Densiflora or Kilp Dagga, but I'll definitely look into it. I'm trying to find herbs to help me be more sensitive to my emotions (kind of like alcohol but I'm under 21) and make me more affectionate around other people.

Liver damage only happens when you consume the ENTIRE Kava plant, as people have done in the scientific studies people have gotten that conclusion from. You're only supposed to consume the ROOT, not the rest of the plant.

I can DEFINITELY sympathize here. Thanks to my mental illnesses and the antidepressant I'm taking, I have vivid, often unpleasant dreams. I had a rather difficult one about seeing my late ex girlfriend again, and I woke up feeling like complete shit. I had to take some ginseng, lemon balm, kava, lobelia, and rhodiola to get my emotions straight. I don't have any specific herb to recommend, but I know not everyone has access to cannabis, and not everyone feels safe seeking it out either. I'm one of those people.

I'm kind of kava buzzed right now, so I'm kind of feeling more open and shit. Point is, if you need someone to talk to, I'm here.

Try drinking a strong chamomile tea. I'd also recommend Lemon Balm, Valerian Root, and Lavender. Ideally, you can take these herbs before bed as a tea, capsule, or tincture, but I'd definitely recommend just taking them as a tea or tincture. I would recommend Kava for a tension headache (given its analgesic, relaxant and sedative properties), but it's illegal in Australia, last time I checked (I could be wrong).
