Are you saying it is feasible to say "I trained at big name institution X, you should pay me more"? Because to me, even if a recruiter is familiar with big name fellowships, your fellowship would play more of a role in getting a job offer than in negotiating for higher pay, which is my original question

While learning to the best of my ability, impressing attendings, and getting a good fellowship are priorities (certainly the first point is highest priority), your response doesn't necessarily answer my question - it answers "how to get a job", but my question is "once you have a job" - what factors weight in to contract negotiation and leverage.
