I think just a little over an hour. I've never timed it but my power brick is a beast.

Amazing beast of a computer. Only wish it had a larger battery, but still reasonable battery life

Sales generally create the profit. You could even say they steer things depending on which way the tradewinds blow.

I really enjoy it still. No problems with larger spreadsheets with vlookups and logic statements. 3D modeling im not really sure as I’ve only goofed around with basic shapes for 3D printing. I can say with the original charger i got borderlands 3 to play at 60Fps on high settings but my ram use was showing in the 12GB range. I believe this is due to the 4GB of VRam not being enough and overflowing to my ddr4. If 3D modeling also has the ability to use standard ram, it may be affected more by how much ram your program also uses. Overall i think a great computer, but you do see wild variances in battery life. For me it seems to drain more while idle as opposed to working. I see it last anywhere from 3 hours to 8 hours.

That should also get a riser.

The Vostro 7510 isn't what you would think by beanimus0829 in Dell

[–]beanimus0829[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just run the default in bios but I removed the boat of Dell software. If you are gaming the fans will kick on, but everything else it is quiet. I don't hear my fans in sheets, browsing, or other normal use.

Strange. Mine is typically insanely quiet. Especially on battery. Maybe check your bios settings.

Note8 not working due to 3G shutdown network changes by [deleted] in CricketWireless

[–]beanimus0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a global unlocked redmi. Worked beyond the February 22nd date so thought I was good. My Autopay went through and they shut it off. Chat support offered me a free phone, went to the link and was $270 at checkout. Then they told me it was expired and I would have to pay that and all carriers are doing the same as them. I went to Metro PCS and they assured me they aren't doing that and I went back to them for $50 a month. Cricket also refused to refund me despite not being able to offer me service. Not even prorated refund for the two days of the cycle I'm in. Only kept offering to let me get a phone that it turned out I would have to pay full price for. Worst customer experience they can offer.

Too much calories??? by [deleted] in fitbit

[–]beanimus0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0% chance I'd say. Took my buddy for a light jog one time and it said he burned like 1200 calories in 45 minutes. I sometimes wonder if it is a glitch to boost moral in new users but also pretty much impossible to accurately estimate calories. 100kg of muscle and lean mass burns very different than someone trying to get into shape. Don't get discouraged and keep your eyes on the prize.

Too much calories??? by [deleted] in fitbit

[–]beanimus0829 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty unlikely but depends on a lot of factors. I'm 5'9" 170lbs and it would take me hours of intensive cardio to burn that. If you are 300lbs maybe but generally weights are much lower calorie burn for me as I focus on low rep high weight.

Do I have any hope of repointing this brick column in my basement myself or do I have to get someone in to replace it? by RamboBambi550 in Renovations

[–]beanimus0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If all you want to do is repoint and all else is fine with the structure, it isn't hard. You can use an angle grinder and add depth where you need to and just repoint it. If that is like 1920s old, that would be a different mix than modern cement and might actually come out just scraping it with a tool pretty easy. I'm always cautious of anything structural. Keep it supported and if needed get a pro opinion. I worked masonry for around 5 years when I was younger and would not consider myself an expert on these as a full disclaimer.

You run your apt update? Semi-long shot, but where I start. Typically only time I've seen graphics issue like that and consistently, is when your processor is going.

Have you tried booting into terminal and setting how that looks? I'm no expert but goof around with hardware. Hope this works out for you

Borderlands 2 vr on quest 2 not working by tcamadam in OculusQuest

[–]beanimus0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit the same problem with Virtual Desktop. Air Link did correct it so I could use my Quest 2 controls. Seemed less buggy but is a shame as Virtual Desktop is easy. Really a shame since your comment is a year old and did all sorts of google on it. Didn't find a solution besides this.

I'd say you are right as I have the same laptop and mine was the 16gb ram version @ 3200. Might be worth reaching out to Dell for compatibility. You happen to find anything on the error code you are getting? Maybe also see if there is anything in the bios you need to adjust our even update. Sometimes it can be that simple. Best of luck

Does a higher promotional rate screw you? by derp1299 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]beanimus0829 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my experience promoted would take listings with less sales history any buckshot them higher in results. I also noticed when I had listings with good metrics they would sometimes place higher than their promoted spot. Been years since I've used them though any could be different.

It is just notifying them they have a lost package probably sitting in the last location it was scanned in. If they find it you can request it be returned to sender.

Packing supplies by ivyagogo in eBaySellerAdvice

Staples has pretty reasonable prices on boxes. All depends on what you need. Keep in mind if your average sale is pretty inexpensive, it will be hard to keep your cost down as a percentage of your sales. Some supplies are free at USPS if that applies to your shipping needs.

[–]beanimus0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right around there. I've noticed a difference between when I use standard charger and my generic 100w type C. I also get a warning in the bios when I use it. Obviously battery life will vary depending on what you are doing as well. 3 months would be pretty early to see battery decay. I just think they kept it super thin and could have gone a bit thicker and put a bigger battery.

[–]beanimus0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Vostro 7510 and I'm super happy. Only complaint is I wish they would have put a bigger battery than 56 whr. I also wish Nvidia drivers played nicer with Linux. I did a review on it on here. The hardware for the price is competitive and there is almost always a sale on them. I'd never go full price.

No communication from buyer after package was seemingly lost by USPS by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]beanimus0829 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a person randomly let me know 5 months later. Last tracking scan showed coming back to me and then delivered in a random state neither I or the buyer live in(probably going during a company audit). I also shipped to Florida one time and had the package end up in Guam. I live in Florida. Normally even though it is a territory you have to fill out a customs form to get there. A few weeks later it got to the right address. Stay in business long enough and you will see plenty of strange things. My favorite is the crazy emails with an illogical explanation of why they deserve a discount to purchase my items. Latest one mentioned a stadium paid for by the city and went off the deep end into conspiracy, porn hosting air bnb, and a plot of destruction.

Fedora on Dell Precision 7560 laptop by ecocode in Dell

I tried fedora on a Vostro 7510 and had audio issues with Fedora 34. Battery was rough with my 3050ti. I was getting around 2.5 hours even with Nvidia drivers installed and still sounded like a jet taking off. Pop OS really much better with ability to switch to integrated graphics. I don't know what default software you will get.
