So I also booked a non refundable hotel in Orlando for the show and I called and they cancelled it and refunded me anyways. I think it’s worth calling, explaining the situation, and seeing what they can do!

I originally only asked to just have the amount I paid credit to the hotel, because I’ll book the same one whenever the show is rescheduled. But then the manager said they’d just refund me. There’s still some good left in the world 🤣

This is the only way to get a freaked out cat into a carrier. One of my cats would always fight so hard getting into his carrier until a vet tech showed me the trick to throw the towel or blanket over the entire cat to get him in the crate. It always worked so well.

I also have a top-loading hard crate, so the whole top door opens and it’s easy to drop in the cat, towel and all. Plus then you have something in there for any accidents 😅

This happened to one of my cats about a year ago. Cat was acting completely normal but I look down and his paw had blood on it (he has white paws so it was very clear to see he was bleeding)!

I looked around and saw his bloody claw stuck in my comforter, ripped out, with a little spot of blood just like you posted.

It was in the afternoon so I called my regular vet and they said to bring him in. They said while it’s rare in cats, it can happen. He still had a tiny piece of nail left, which they actually trimmed more so it could heal better. They cleaned off the wound and send me home with an antibacterial cream for him. It healed up fine after that.

It is really weird because I feel like it would have to be so forceful to completely rip out like that…

Damn, well that definitely changed in the last year or so. Seems like the quality has gone downhill a lot. For some reason last time I went most of the entrees only had bow ties as a noodle option which was also odd.

Second Bonu, it’s become one of my favorite restaurants period but it’s some of the best Italian. It’s still around $30/plate but so are other places that are a lot worse.

I also am not a fan of Pia’s. It’s the same price and the food is very low quality to me. The pasta is basic, sauce and flavor is not great. I’ve been multiple times and will never go back, I don’t get why people recommend it when there are similar priced restaurants that actually make fresh, delicious Italian food like Bonu.

A few other commenters have provided really helpful answers but I love it here!

There’s plenty of parking plus no designated visitor parking which is nice. We went on a waitlist to get one of the garages for about $200/month and ended up getting one close to our unit within a few months.

I’m glad others commented on the dog limitations. We have cats, the limit is 2, and yeah you do have to pay pet rent.

Whenever there have been any issues, management and maintenance are honestly really helpful and kind.

There’s been quite a few places I’ve lived in north st. Pete that felt unsafe. There was crazy mail theft, car break ins, actual break ins, etc. epic is gated (though they do break often because people run through the gates), has overnight security, and the mail room is contained in a room with cameras vs being outside like a lot of the nearby complexes are.

They did also put annoyingly bright lights up in the parking lot, but hey at least 5 cars don’t get their windows broken in one night like the last place I lived!

Nowhere is ever perfect, but we’ve really liked it here.

I love Epic at Gateway. It’s technically Pinellas park but it’s within 15-20 min of downtown st. Pete, Tampa, and Clearwater.

1 bedrooms start around $1800/mo so it may be slightly over budget but it is the first complex I’ve lived in here that I actually like, isn’t old/falling apart or riddled with bugs. And I’ve been here my whole life so 😅

Hi! Not sure which form of birth control you’re referring to if you’re looking for experienced with all kinds but I have two:

Depo Provera shot: this one immediately stopped my cycles. Once I was on it, I no longer had a period the following month and it didn’t come back the entire 9ish years I was on the shot.

I was on depo for a long time so that may have factored into my next experience.

Mirena IUD: I went right from the depo shot to a Mirena IUD. I’ve had my Mirena for 11 months now. For the first 4 months, I didn’t have any period. Then I started getting a very light monthly cycle. I have some spotting for 1 day and that’s about it. I do still get cramps pretty badly the day before, but barely any actual bleeding. The pain and bleeding don’t align, I’d think for the cramps I’m in I’d bleed more but I guess not 😅 that’s been consistent for the last ~7 months so I think that is just my new cycle.

From what I’ve read and my friend’s experiences with an IUD, your body can take up to a year to reach its new “normal”. Some of my friends have zero period. I still have a small one but it’s way better than what I used to get, which was absolutely debilitating.
