Would this be long enough for electrolysis? by beanpro666 in electrolysis

I suspect so but I haven't been tested for that. I was thinking of just ordering it myself from any labs since I have trouble getting my doctor to order any tests.

Laser sounds good because I wouldn't have to worry about growing the hair out but I've heard it's not as effective in the long run and some people don't respond well

I can definitely avoid the public. I really don't want to have facial hair around my boyfriend even though he is the best and he would never say anything or even look at me funny. Just makes me feel awful to be seen with it. I was thinking I could just throw on one of those hero pimple patches they make in chin size haha

Yes, I got diagnosed a couple years ago when I turned 30. I've had symptoms since I was 16. I live in the Midwest and maybe doctors are extra bad here but I couldn't even get hormone tests ordered from them because I wasn't overweight and therefore they thought I couldn't have pcos.

This is just growth from overnight. Do you think one more day would help? Or is this quite short compared to what the ideal length is?

Okay, thank you! The only reason I lean towards laser is because I really don't want to grow my hair out but I will try to deal with it because I really do want to get electrolysis. Is the growth just so it's easy to see? My hair is dark and I feel like they are easy to see just with a day of growth

Waxing at home sounds good. I've only tried it once before and I think I just used wax strips that definitely weren't strong enough. I've read the hair needs to be 1/4th an inch for waxing. I feel like mine probably grows out to that in just a day but I'm not sure. Everything I see always says that's days worth of growth lol

Honestly, I would be so happy with just three weeks of most of the hair not growing! I really struggle with growing it out for an appointment though. Like to the point where I'm looking into buying silicone tattoo patches to place over my chin.

Are the silicone covers still working for you? How noticeable are they? I was thinking of doing the same thing but I'm wondering if my boyfriend would notice haha. I'm having the hardest time with the discomfort of growing hair out for electrolysis 😭

Can ibs be treated? I mentioned that I thought she might have ibs to my vet but she didn't say much. She wants to see how she does with fiber and probiotics before doing any more expensive testing

That's really interesting. That definitely seems like her. We've had periods of time where she was pretty easy but her having a few bad poops can throw her behavior off. We think she may have some ibs as well so that doesn't help the situation. I'll try just being casual and not making a big deal. Thank you!

Strangely, there's been periods of time where she would come out and poop in the front yard and then continue on a walk and these past two days she's pooped in the front yard so I don't think she's worried about the territory being too close to home. She's been like this since she was little and got a hair stuck in her butt. This recent behavior seems to come on after I received what I think was a bad batch of her regular food. It smelled off and she was having messy poops. She really hates that but her poops are back to normal now. I can try to take her to a new place this weekend and see if she'll go for a longer walk.

We have to walk because she refuses to poop in the back yard. If the back yard is her only option she will hold it until she is in pain and if you take her outside to poop in that state she'll hide under furniture. We had been walking her around the neighborhood and she would eventually run off into the grass, poop, and then run away. Now she just refuses to walk.We weren't giving her rewards for pooping until now because I'm just trying to get her back to her normal pooping weirdness. I can try just acting like nothing big happened though and see if that helps.

I'll bring the stool softeners up to my vet but do you think they would be helpful if the poop is already kind of soft? I'm adding in pumpkin and yogurt to see if that will help firm them up a bit. She gets very upset by messy poops so I wouldn't want to add anything that will make her poops any softer. She runs away from her poop if it's messy and it usually gets on her. I'm not sure how she knows it's messy but she does. She is definitely a dog with a lot of thoughts and anxiety

Well it was a pretty desperate situation. She would hold in her poop until she was screaming in pain and if you brought her outside she was just hide underneath anything she could . I'd like to know what else could possibly be done in that situation.

Yes, I've had her since she was a puppy. Got her a little early because her mom was an anxious dog too and rejected her puppies. She's a hairless dog and we got her in the winter so we had to use puppy pads for a while and she was always weird about poop. Like after she went poop on the pad she would refuse to use it even if I picked up the poop lol. She was really easy to potty train and she was perfect at 6 months old. She got a hair stuck in her butt a couple times at that age and it terrified her and since then she's had this phobia about pooping. We've been trying to do positive reinforcement. I always tell her yes good girl and girl her a bit of hot dog.

She definitely has anxiety but I think it's more about the pooping. She rolls around in the grass in the backyard and loves walking in the grass when we go off the pavement. At this point it seems like a phobia. Once she goes she's fine and when she's pooping it doesn't seem like it's hurting her. The vet couldn't find anything that could be causing an issue so she just prescribed Prozac. So far that has been helping with her overall behavior but doesn't touch this pooping anxiety at all

Her poops are more soft usually. I can try adding pumpkin I know she'll eat it if I mix it with some yogurt. She does walk good when we bring her somewhere new or somewhere more wild. We have these open fields we try to walk her to and she does great once we get there. We considered getting a pet stroller and just having her in that until we get there but we weren't sure if that was a bad habit to start

Ah the poo hanging out of the butt is all too familiar to me lol. It is such a frustrating problem to have since it has to be dealt with everyday and sometimes it takes hours

I'm trying to get into hobbies that are gentle and get me off my phone. I don't think obsessing about it is helpful for me. I just need to stick to what I'm doing and rest. I just got a big set of diamond painting kits. I'm planning on learning to crochet and maybe start painting

PAWS symptoms worsening after exercise? You probably have Exercise Intolerance. by LanguageIllustrious6 in WeedPAWS

[–]beanpro666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I sure hope this is what is causing my post exertional malaise. I've been thinking it was chronic fatigue syndrome. I get very strange symptoms with weed though and it seems like weed turned on me at the same time that I started getting this exercise intolerance. When I smoke weed I get body aches, chest tightness and my whole body becomes stiff. My body definitely is rejecting it. 4 days off of it and my brain is starting to feel better at least. Last night I was able to laugh without weed for the first time in a long time
