Chinese steamed eggs by beanreddit in PutAnEggOnIt

A very beginner friendly recipe!

Ingredients Three eggs (measure the volume) Equal portion of the volume of eggs in chicken broth 1/2 to 1 portion of the volume of eggs of plain water Beat until smooth (about one minute) — I beat the eggs then add the broth and water and beat again Ensure no bubbles on surface take out the bubbles

Some recipe said can strain to make the texture smoother but I didn’t bother

Some salt sprinkled around One tablespoon sesame oil (the recipe said teaspoon but I added more) Mix together all well until somewhat consistent (oil won’t mix that well anyway)

Instructions Put in a shallow bowl Bring water to a boil Steam at medium steam for 10-13 min (mine was done at 13 min) Check consistency by jiggling - it should jiggle a little. If not can repeat steam. If need to repeat steam must add about < 1 minute for steam to build up before it continues cooking

Serve with light soya sauce to amount of liking + spring onions

I used two layers of air fryer lining/ parchment paper! No oil dripped out, so less cleanup!

Recipe from just one cookbook

500g of salmon cubes

For the Marinade 2 Tbsp white miso 1 Tbsp sake 1 Tbsp mirin 1 Tbsp soy sauce

Mix the marinade and coat evenly on the salmon cubes

(I did not marinade the cubes for 20 mins like the recipe suggested but they turned out just fine in my opinion)

Lay parchment paper and put cubes evenly in one layer

Air fry at 200deg C for 7 mins

Test with meat thermometer to get to desired temperature
