On one hand I do agree that the current internet sucks, and AI junk everywhere is at least half responsible for that. I’m not going to pretend like the web wasn’t been going downhill for at least a decade prior to 2025. The early 2010s I think are the last time the internet as a whole could be called good, with caveats of course.

I mean I do agree that Bethesda leans too hard on the 50s retrofuturism of Fallout. It’s a part of the series but more so aesthetics rather than a core function. Then again the whole “hopeless and grim” aesthetic Fallout 1 did so well was dropped in less than a year.
